If you’re serious about tidying up, now’s the time to fill your cart. Here are the best spring cleaning deals we could find in the Amazon Spring Sale.

Best paper towel deal Opens in a new window Credit: Brawny Brawny Tear-A-Square Paper Towels $23.19 at Amazon
$28.99 Save $5.80 Get Deal Why we like it

I know we keep harping on paper towels, but if you have kids, pets, or actually live in your home (as opposed to just going out all the time), you know how essential these disposable absorbent sheets are.

Right now, you can get a 12 family-sized rolls of Brawny for just $23.19 (originally $28.99). That’s an absolute steal considering these are twice as thick and absorbent as bargain brand towels. You’re also getting family-sized rolls, which, according to Brawny, is the equivalent of 30 regular rolls.

Best laundry detergent deal Opens in a new window Credit: Clean Cult Clean Cult Liquid Laundry Detergent (Juniper Sandalwood) $6.99 at Amazon

Not to be dramatic, but your laundry detergent could make or break your entire day. If you’re dealing with sensitive skin, can’t stand overpowering fragrances, or want something that’s tough on stains without smelling like you bathed in a vat of perfume, you’ve got to pick your detergent wisely.

Clean Cult is one of those brands that actually lives up to the hype. (I use Clean Cult on the regular) It’s tough on stains without the harsh chemicals, gentle on skin, smells delicious without being headache-inducing (there’s an unscented option as well), and comes in sustainable packaging. If you prefer laundry sheets, they have those, too.

One box of Clean Cult liquid laundry detergent can do up to 64 loads of laundry, and it costs just $6.99. Talk about a deal!

Best trash bag deal Opens in a new window Credit: Hefty Hefty Strong Tall Kitchen Trash Bags (Unscented) $11.99 at Amazon

It’s a shame that something we put literal trash in needs to cost so much, but good trash bags are an absolute necessity.

Right now, you can get the Hefty Strong Mega Pack (90 count) for just $11.99. They’re unscented, so you don’t have to worry about that artificial lemon smell permeating your entire house, and they’re super durable.

How to sign up for Walmart+ and access member perks

Mashable - Tue, 03/25/2025 - 09:50

If you're an avid Walmart shopper, you'll probably want to consider signing up for Walmart+. We know that having to sign up for yet another membership service sounds like a pain, but it may be worth it for you (don't worry, we'll tell you why). That's especially true during shopping events like seasonal sales, Prime Day, and Black Friday — Walmart+ members get early access to deals during these sales.

What is Walmart+?

Walmart+ is the big-box retailer's premier membership program that gets you exclusive benefits, both online and in-store. These include perks like free and fast shipping, early sale access, mobile scan & go at Walmart stores, and lots more. Many compare it to Amazon Prime, though it's still a bit different.

SEE ALSO: Walmart vs. Amazon: Who actually has the best deals? What are the perks?

The whole reason for signing up for Walmart+ is those sweet perks. Here's what you'll get when you become a member:

  • Unlimited free delivery: All $35+ orders from Walmart stores will be delivered free of charge.

  • Fast shipping: Next-day and two-day shipping is free for Walmart+ members with no minimum required.

  • Easy returns: If you need to return something, Walmart will pick it up for you. You won't need to print any labels or repackage any products.

  • Savings on fuel: Walmart+ members save 10 cents per gallon at participating fueling stations like Exxon, Mobil, Walmart, Sam's Club, and more.

  • Auto care: Visit any Walmart Auto Care center for free flat tire repair and road hazard warranty.

  • Mobile scan & go: Shopping at a physical Walmart location? Use your smartphone to scan and pay for your items to make the checkout process faster.

  • Paramount+ Essential (ad-supported) Plan subscription: Gain access to Paramount+ for no additional fee and enjoy the catalog of movies and TV shows.

  • Early access: Members will get first dibs on special product releases and big sale events, including Black Friday.

  • Walmart+ travel: Enjoy up to 5% in Walmart Cash when booking hotels, car rentals, tours, and more with Expedia, and up to 2% on flights.

  • Burger King savings: Treat yourself to 25% off Burger King every day and a free Whopper with any purchase every three months.

Walmart frequently treats its members to exclusive limited-time perks, adding even more value to your Walmart+ membership. Previous examples include free Apple Music and YouTube Premium.

How much does Walmart+ cost?

A Walmart+ membership costs $98 annually or $12.95 monthly. New members can also redeem a 30-day free trial to test the waters before fully committing, but it has limited benefits, and only some of these offers will be available.

Walmart also offers a Walmart+ Assist membership, a more affordable option available to qualifying government aid recipients of SNAP, WIC, Medicaid, and more. It's $6.47 per month or $49 per year.

How do you sign up?

Signing up with Walmart+ couldn't be any easier. Here's how to get started:

  1. Go to the Walmart+ page. Here, you'll find information on what the service is, what perks you'll get, and pricing.

  2. Click on "Start your free 30-day trial." (Yes, you get your first month totally free! A recurring billing period will start after the trial ends.)

  3. Fill out your personal and payment information for billing and shipping purposes.

  4. That's literally it. You're now a Walmart+ member, and you can start enjoying your perks immediately!

Walmart+ or Amazon Prime?

Though similar, Walmart+ and Amazon Prime still have some pretty big differences between them, and we could make a case for having both. Both services include free and fast shipping benefits, grocery delivery, and access to select streaming services, to name a few shared perks. But, if you had to pick one, we'd say the answer lies in just one question: Do you plan on shopping in-store? If yes, go for Walmart+, but if you think you'll only be shopping online, Amazon Prime will be your best bet. (One more note to consider: Amazon Prime costs about $40 more annually than Walmart+.)

Both memberships also have special shopping events, like Amazon's flagship Prime Day and Walmart's Walmart+ Week. During Prime Day, the focus is on deals across products, but Walmart+ Week centers extra savings on offers and services exclusive to its members.

Pedro Pascal explains his very intense coffee order

Mashable - Tue, 03/25/2025 - 07:56

Pedro Pascal is not happy that his mildly unhinged morning coffee order is out in the world.

"I cannot begin to tell you how violating this was," says the Last of Us star in the Jimmy Kimmel Live! clip above, commenting on a photo that was taken of him where people zoomed in on the coffee order receipt in his hand — revealing a solid six shots of espresso.

"There's so much context to why it has become six shots of espresso. It was always a quad, but then I feel like the cups got bigger, and – I don't know – the shots got less strong and at some point it became six, and it was an incredibly private morning ritual that I never wanted anyone to know about. I don't have more coffee for the rest of the day, I swear," Pascal says. "It's on ice, you sip it, you get really high, and you answer emails and stuff."

Now let's put the matter to rest and allow the man to enjoy his six shots in peace.

Jon Stewart roasts Trump cabinet for leaking its own military plans via group chat

Mashable - Tue, 03/25/2025 - 07:00

It sounds like the kind of thing that would only happen in a political comedy show, but the Trump administration really did leak military plans to The Atlantic editor-in-chief Jeffrey Goldberg by mistakenly adding him to a group chat.

"Oopsie poopsie!" says Jon Stewart in the Daily Show clip above. "Back in my day, if you were a journalist that wanted leaked war documents you'd work the sources, meet them in a dark garage, earn the trust, pound the pavement...now, you just wait for the national security advisor to be distracted by White Lotus while he's setting up his 'bomb Yemen' group chat."

Stewart goes on to say that his favourite part of the leaked chat was a comment from defence secretary Pete Hegseth, who reportedly wrote, "We are currently clear on OPSEC."

"For those of you who don't know, OPSEC means operational security," says Stewart. "He said that in a group chat. A group chat with a journalist."

Bone conduction technology transmits sound through vibrations directly to the inner ear via the cheekbones, bypassing the eardrum, and increasing your spatial awareness. So you can run, walk, or do any activity with accompanying music, but you can still hear what is going on around you in the outside world.

The SHOKZ OpenRun Pro headphones are an earbud-free design with a lightweight, wraparound frame and open-ear fit. They use incredible 9th-generation bone conduction technology to deliver high-quality audio while keeping your ears open to your surroundings. They also have an IP55 waterproof rating, so they’re sweatproof and work for runs or walks in the rain. The battery life will keep you listening for up to 10 hours, and a quick five-minute charge will top you up with an hour and a half of extra playtime.

This is a great option in Amazon's Big Spring Sale, so don't miss out.
