TL;DR: As of Sept. 22, the DJI Avata 360 8K drone (including backpack and landing pad) is available for $719 at Amazon. That's a $98.95 saving on the list price of $817.95.

Thankfully, October Prime Day is just a few weeks away, with the two-day event running Oct. 6-7 on Amazon, and we're already seeing early deals across a wide range of categories.
Among those early deals is $98.95 off the DJI Avata 360 8K drone, one of the most popular models from the leading name in consumer drone tech. And you get much more than just the drone with this deal — it's a bundle that includes a backpack for transporting the drone and a landing pad.

As the name suggests, the DJI Avata 8K drone captures stunning 8K footage (at 60 fps) and 120 MP photos. It's built on a single-axis gimbal, with a 360° virtual gimbal for all-around imagery, and uses two 1/1.1-Inch square CMOS sensors. It also boasts a wide range of creative features that combine fun flying and professional-quality video. In addition to the backpack and landing pad, the bundle includes a DJI RC 2 remote controller and a 128GB microSD card for added storage.
There's another reason to grab this drone. Recent changes to the law have effectively banned Chinese-made DJI products from entering the U.S., but retailers are still allowed to sell their existing stock. It's a case of getting them while you can — not to mention the fact that DJI prices will likely skyrocket once stocks become scarce.

SAVE $400: As of Sept. 22, the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 Portable Power Station is down to $499 at Amazon, marked down from its original $899 list price. That's a 44% discount and a match for its lowest price to date.

The catch? High-capacity battery banks are usually bulky, heavy, and painfully expensive.
If you've been thinking about buying one, Amazon just shaved $400 off the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 portable power station, bringing it down to $499. What makes this updated V2 model worth grabbing over older power banks is how much muscle Bluetti squeezed into a smaller body. It’s roughly 35% smaller and lighter than standard 1kWh generators, weighing 25 pounds with a hidden handle so you can carry it one-handed.
SEE ALSO: Prime Day deals on power stations are already live: Shop the best deals on Jackery, Anker, Bluetti, and moreInside, it uses durable LiFePO4 battery cells rated for over 4,000 charge cycles, which translates to roughly a decade of regular use before the battery's health even starts to degrade. As for real-world capability, it has enough juice and wall-plug power to run 90% of your everyday appliances, including mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, and power tools.
With 11 different ports, you can keep your laptop, phone, camera batteries, and camping lights plugged in all at once. When it runs flat, topping it back up doesn't take all day. Plugged into a regular wall outlet, it recharges from zero to full in about 70 minutes (or the same time via solar panels if you're off the grid).

The Full Moon is now just a few days away, so the surface of the Moon is mostly illuminated. This means, if it's a clear night, you'll have ample opportunity to spot some features on its surface. What can you see? Keep reading to find out.
What is today’s Moon phase? As of Tuesday, Sept. 22, NASA's Daily Moon Guide tracker tells us the Moon is in the Waxing Gibbous phase, with 81% of its surface visible.
Without the assistance of visual aids, you should be able to spot the Mare Vaporum, Mare Fecunditatis, and the Tycho Crater. If you have binoculars, they'll also help you see the Mare Nectaris, Alphonsus Crater, and the Mare Frigoris. Plus, if you have access to a telescope, you'll see the Apollo 12 and 15 landing spots, as well as the Rima Hyginus.
When is the next Full Moon? The next Full Moon will take place on September 26.
What are Moon phases? The Moon doesn't look the same from night to night. As it travels around Earth, which takes about 29.5 days, we see different portions of its illuminated side. This is what creates the lunar phases, with the Moon gradually progressing from a thin crescent to a half Moon and then a Full Moon before the cycle starts over. According to NASA, the phase we see is determined by the Moon's position relative to both Earth and the Sun.
The eight phases are:
New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).
Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).
First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.
Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it’s not quite full yet.
Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.
Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)
Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.
Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.

We caught wind that a new pair of Beats over-ear headphones might be imminent when several World Cup stars stepped out wearing unrecognizable headphones from the brand in June. Then, there were the product filings and Amazon UK listings that teased out some more clues.
Now, the Beats 360 are finally here as of Sept. 22. The over-ear headphones are the first from the brand to feature customizable ear and headband cushions, and will retail for $349.99. Preorders for the headphones open immediately, with full availability following shortly after on Sept. 24.
The corresponding color of ear cups and cushions will be included with the headphones, but additional Beats 360 Cushion Kits will be available for $49.99. However, if you take advantage of the special intro offer, you can pick them up for just $9.99, knocking a whopping $40 — or 81% — off the price.
So what's new with these headphones? We break it down below.
Beats 360: Price and specs Mix and match your favorite color combos. Credit: BeatsThe Beats 360 cost $349.99, and come with the following basic specs:
Battery life: 32 hours per charge
Active noise cancellation: Yes
Microphones: Nine, with eight dedicated to ANC
IP rating: IPX4
Connection: Bluetooth 5.3, one-touch pairing for Apple and Google Fast Pair for Android users
Colors: Black, cloud, sky, pink
Beats last launched a pair of over-ear headphones in 2024: the Beats Studio Pro, which are Mashable's current favorite Beats headphones. The Beats 360 are an entirely separate product line with new features. Most notable are the interchangeable ear and headband cushions. Included with the headphones is a pair of the "Performance Knit" cushions in the corresponding color.
Users will also have the choice of purchasing an extra pair of Performance Knit cushions or UltraPlush cushions. The former features memory foam, wrapped in a diamond knit strand, while the latter is the same engineered leather found in the Beats Studio Pro and Solo 4. Performance Knit kits are available in black, cloud (white), pink, sky (light blue), navy, and volt (bright green). The UltraPlush cushions come in cloud and black.
SEE ALSO: The 13 best headphones of 2026: We tested the top contenders from Sony, Apple, Bose, and BeatsAlongside cosmetic changes, these headphones are the first over-ear model from Beats to feature an IPX4 sweat and resistance rating, making them equipped to stand up to workouts (which they should, based on the World Cup rollout). Unlike the Studio Pro, these headphones feature a fold-flat design, so they don't get quite as compact.
Noise cancellation-wise, Beats claims the ANC on these headphones is 1.75 times that of the Beats Studio Pro. At $349.99, they have the same launch price as the Pros (which will now be available for $299.99).
Beats 360: Where to buyThe Beats 360 are available on Apple's website and additional retailers for $349.99. The cushion kits are available in Performance Knit and UltraPlush for $49.99, with a special introductory price of $9.99.

Given how many iPhones, Macs and other gadgets it sells, it's sometimes easy to forget that Apple is also a content company. To promote its many digital content platforms like Apple Music and Apple TV, the company produces TV shows, movies, and hosts exclusive live concerts which you can find on Apple Music.
Now, the company has a very fancy place to hosts those concerts. Apple Music Hall is a new live music venue at London's Battersea Power Station, and it looks amazing.
That looks cozy. Credit: AppleWith capacity for 600 attendees, the Apple Music Hall is designed to host "bespoke, intimate performances." The space has a very industrial chic design, with bricks, fluted arches, and bronze balconies, but it's also a high-tech affair, with a 48-speaker spatial sound system positioned all around the audience.
Once a coal-fired power station, the Batersea Power Station is now a shopping and entertainment complex. Credit: AppleOf course, besides being a beautiful concert venue, it's a production facility, with two dedicated, pro-grade recording and mix studios. Apple says that every performance can be captured as a multitrack recording and mixed in Spatial Audio. The space is equipped with 16 cameras, so an artist performing there can "walk out with a finished Spatial Audio recording, a broadcast-ready mix, and multicamera video — all from a single show."
For info on tickets and upcoming shows, go to the venue's website (though no lineups have been revealed yet).

The sex lives of young adults — or lack thereof — have been subject to scrutiny over the past few years. Much hand-wringing has occurred over whether Gen Z is sexually repressed, or whether there's a "sex recession" happening.
Now, we have some new data about it.
In a study by the Kinsey Institute, Playboy, and emergency contraceptive brand Julie, "The State of Sex Among Gen Z," the sex recession question is answered, but it's not clean-cut. The report includes findings from 2,373 U.S. adults between 18 and 29. That breaks down into 48 percent men and 48 percent women, 63 percent heterosexual, 53 percent single, and 42 percent in relationships.
SEE ALSO: A 'masturbation consultant' for an AI companion company tells allA major finding of the study is that the sex recession appears to be real, but it's complicated. There's no one explanation for why this is happening; economic, technological, psychological, and social factors all play a part. And while most young adults report low levels of sexual activity, they have moderate to high sexual desire.
Less sex, partnered or soloPrevious reports found that today's young adults are having less sex than those of years past.
The State of Sex Among Gen Z found that 29 percent of participants had no sexual partners in the last three months, and 19 percent have never had a partner. Thirty-one percent aren't sexually active.
Around a third (36 percent) haven't even masturbated in the last three months.
Of those who have had sex in the last quarter, 45 percent had one partner. These findings are pretty consistent among different sexual orientations, except for gay participants; the number of them who've had one partner was 34 percent, and they reported having 10+ partners more than any other group at 13 percent.
While many may not be having sex or self-loving, they are kissing. Nearly half (49 percent) of all participants reported kissing nearly every day (this is more the case for those in a relationship, 72 percent, versus 29 percent of singles). Around a quarter (27 percent), however, reported zero kissing in that same time frame. Sad.
Most singles (74 percent), though, reported moderate, high, and very high sexual desire. So why aren't they acting on it?
Why young adults aren't having sexThe researchers didn't just ask about sexual frequency — they dug into why. Two-thirds (67 percent) reported limited opportunities to meet potential partners. Sixty percent agreed that "dating is exhausting" and "not worth the effort." Around the same number cited fear of rejection as a barrier.
Forty-two percent agreed with the statement "Sex is NOT a high priority for me right now."
Other statements that many participants agreed on were that they haven't met someone who met their standards, and that using dating apps feels exhausting (a common refrain in 2026).
Is it...the phones? One reason attributed to the lack of sex, even from some experts, is: "It's the damn phones." The study didn't have hard-and-fast findings about this, but it suggested that the internet might be meeting some of Gen Z's sexual needs.
Overall, 38 percent of participants stated that digital sexual content, including pornography and erotic media, fulfills some of their sexual needs. (That number jumps up to 46 percent of men and 45 percent of single participants.) Around a third (31 percent) of overall participants stated that pornography reduces their interest in partnered sex.
Some are choosing online connections over physical ones. Thirty-two percent said they sometimes choose digital or solo sexual experiences instead of partnered sex, and 28 percent said spending time on screens (or digital activities) reduces their motivation to pursue in-person sexual connections.
Sex recession, economic recession? It's not all about the phones, though. Financial stress has negatively impacted the sex lives of 37 percent of all participants, and even more (43 percent) stated that financial concerns make it harder for them to date or maintain romantic relationships. The payment service Zelle found similar in its new Economics of Dating Report.
Slightly fewer participants (39 percent) said money concerns make them less likely to pursue or engage in romantic or sexual activities, and the same number of people said the cost of dating limits their opportunities to meet and maintain relationships.
The cost of living also affects whether young adults can live on their own, sending reverberations throughout other parts of their lives. Around a third (34 percent) live with parents, and nearly two-thirds of those (64 percent) reported zero sexual partners in the past three months.
(Some) satisfaction, guaranteedDespite all of this, most participants (55 percent) were satisfied with their sex life, including 73 percent of those in relationships. Regarding young adults' relationship with sex, the most common answer was that it feels fulfilling and consistent (32 percent). Nearly half of partnered participants said they're having the amount of sex they want, compared to a third of singles.
Twenty-one percent, though, would like more sexual activity in their lives.
Fewer people are voluntarily celibate (13 percent), and five percent said their relationship with sex feels negative or frustrating. Most participants, however, viewed their sex lives as average (37 percent) or better than average (25 percent), with a quarter thinking it is below average.
Do young adults themselves believe there's a sex recession? Half don't, but a quarter said yes. The rest were unsure. Some actually believe they're having more sex.
"I think people may be having slightly more sex than in the past because of innovations like dating/hook-up apps," an anonymous participant wrote. "However, I don't think people are having as much sex as is shown on TV or social media."
The same participant also thinks the "sex recession" is multifaceted: "I think right now, many are struggling economically and socially and likely having less sex as a result."
Another participant stated, "I think they might be having anywhere from the same amount to more, because of how open people have become and because technology has changed the whole sex scene in modern times."
So, perception might be different from reality.

The rising cost of living has impacted singles for years now, and a new report from payment service Zelle shares new insights on just how much their bank accounts influence how (and if) they find love.
Zelle's Economics of Dating Report found that the vast majority (84 percent) of Gen Z and millennial daters say rising cost has affected their dating lives (according to an Aug. 2026 national survey of 1,800 Gen Z and millennial adults who've dated within the past year).
SEE ALSO: The 9 best free dating apps that literally cost $0 to sign up and useAround a third (32 percent) said they're going on fewer dates, and one in 10 (11 percent) have stopped dating because they can't afford it.
As Mashable reported this year, socioeconomic factors can definitely hinder dating. Not only can some young people not afford dates, but more are living at home and can't buy a home. This can then delay when people get married and have children.
But for those young adults still in the dating pool, Zelle's report found that some respondents are choosing less expensive activities (40 percent), preferring more frequent economical dates to occasional expensive ones (38 percent), and suggesting free activities (37 percent).
And in this economy, being seen as frugal is a good thing. Thirty-eight percent said they judged someone positively for planning an affordable, thoughtful date — more than the 23 percent who said the same for someone who put together an extravagant, high-end one.
Other financial green flags include being thoughtful with money (56 percent), being honest and transparent about money (54 percent), planning a thoughtful, budget-friendly date (52 percent), and paying without making the situation awkward (52 percent).
On the flipside, there are some red flags when it comes to money and dating, such as making someone uncomfortable about what they can afford, expecting the other person to pay for everything, complaining about every price, and talking too much about income — all of which 47 percent of participants said gave them the ick. Around the same amount, 46 percent, also flagged making a big deal about paying.
Money anxiety abounds these days, including when trying to find a partner. Among women respondents, being rejected and spending too much ranked equally as sources of dating anxiety (37 percent). Other sources of anxiety are spending too much on a date (34 percent of participants said this), making sure a date fits within their budget (29 percent), discussing finances (28 percent), and asking who pays (25 percent).
Twenty-six percent said they won't bring up payment with their date at all.
This all seems like glum news, but at least 89 percent of daters are still putting themselves out there. There are dating apps you can use for free and low-cost outings, too, like a walk in the park. Otherwise, some singles might find themselves turning to AI for a cheaper date.

SAVE $1,000: As of Sept. 22, the Roborock Saros Z70 Robot Vacuum and Mop is down to $999.98 at Amazon. That’s a 50% discount and a match for its lowest-ever price.
Opens in a new window Credit: Roborock Roborock Saros Z70 robot vacuum and mop combo $999.99 at AmazonKeeping your floors spotless usually means spending hours behind a traditional vacuum or dropping a small fortune on a high-end robot cleaner. But when a flagship model drops down to half price, the decision gets a lot easier.
As of Sept. 22, Amazon has chopped $1,000 off the Roborock Saros Z70 Robot Vacuum and Mop, bringing it down to $999.98. That markdown brings this ultra-premium, feature-packed automated cleaner back down to its best price on record.
When Mashable reviewer Leah Stodart tested the Z70 hands-on, she found the arm could be a bit slow — struggling with heavier shoes or unfamiliar fabrics — but it consistently cleared away everyday clutter like socks and lightweight footwear before making its cleaning pass. Even if you ignore the arm entirely, the cleaning hardware hits monster specs. You're getting 22,000Pa of suction power, which easily pulls deep-seated pet hair and dust out of plush carpets.
Despite holding a mechanical arm and a high-powered motor, the Z70 maintains an ultra-slim 3.14-inch profile that slides under low-clearance couches and TV stands without getting wedged. For hard floors, it uses dual spinning mop pads that swing out on a motorized hinge to scrub along baseboards and corners, and is backed by an automatically heated water tank to break down dried spills.
When it's done, it navigates back to a fully automated dock that washes the mops with 176°F hot water, dries them with warm air, dispenses its own cleaning solution, and empties its own dustbin for up to seven weeks of hands-off maintenance. In our review, the Saros Z70 lost points solely due to its massive price tag. At $1,000 off, those minor quirks are a lot easier to forgive.

When you play as many video games as I do, only a select few really stick in your mind for years after you finish them. Control, a 2019 action-adventure game, was one of those.
Mashable gave Control its Game of the Year award that year, and for good reason: It's a mind-bending and totally sick shooter that can be cleanly summarized as "you play as a Jedi with a gun in a haunted office building." It was, at the time, the best synthesis of developer Remedy's signature style with actually competent gunplay, something the studio had struggled with at points in the past. I'd argue it was only surpassed by 2023's Alan Wake II in that regard, but that's like choosing a favorite child.
I wish I was as enthusiastic about Control Resonant, the new follow-up to the 2019 original that I am still working my way through. But, while Resonant maintains the creepy vibes, non-Euclidean geometry, and action combat that make you feel extremely cool on a regular basis of the original, its new setting of a supernaturally warped Manhattan significantly reduces the charm in both an aesthetic and mechanical sense.
SEE ALSO: 'Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave' is one of the biggest and best Switch 2 exclusives yet I love New York City, but I loved The Oldest House more This stuff can be really cool at times. Credit: Remedy/SteamPerhaps the most disappointing aspect of Control Resonant is that the concepts Remedy chose to play around with are sound, but are kind of bland in practice.
Control was a third-person shooter with psychic powers set inside The Oldest House, an imposing government building in Manhattan with a mind of its own and the ability to shift its innards around at will. It made for an incredible setting, as protagonist Jesse Faden would frequently find herself fighting horrible monstrosities among office cubicles, which in turn would be mere feet away from terrors that defied conventional description. The best part is that it was all a relatively mundane part of the job for employees of the Federal Bureau of Control, a fictional government agency dedicated to investigating the supernatural.
Resonant turns all of that on its head by shifting the perspective to Dylan, Jesse's brother, who had been imprisoned as an experimental test subject in The Oldest House. What was previously contained within the building's walls has spilled out into Manhattan, profoundly transforming the architecture of the city and its inhabitants, and it's up to Dylan to do something about it.
I have not seen much of Jesse so far. Credit: Remedy/SteamWhereas Jesse was an ordinary civilian fighting her way through a mysterious government compound, Dylan is the opposite; he's only ever known The Oldest House as an adult, and Manhattan is new to him. That's a great idea that, unfortunately, doesn't work all that well in my time with the game, which I have not finished just yet. Dylan is sort of a wet blanket who doesn't have a lot of interesting things to say most of the time, and this version of Manhattan often feels like it could've been any sufficiently dense urban environment instead.
There are glimpses of greatness here, with city streets that have been turned entirely vertical, requiring the use of gravity-shifting powers to navigate them. But for the most part, you're just running around what feels like a generic video game city with the same three coffee shops, laundromats, and bodegas copied and pasted in each explorable zone. There are optional activities in each neighborhood, which mostly amount to "go to an icon on the map, fight some monsters, and get a reward." It's shockingly uninspired at times for a Remedy game.
None of it so far has matched what made The Oldest House so special in Control. All of the stylistic flair from the original, like big sans serif title cards and redacted government documents, is here, but they don't hit the same the second time around. I'm open to the possibility that Resonant finds its footing later on, but from what I've played, the quasi-open-world aspect of it has been my least favorite part of the game.
The fighting is fun, but it can occasionally be a drag This part of the game is usually pretty alright. Credit: Remedy/SteamThat's not to say Control Resonant is all bad, of course. I actually quite like the combat, which trades Jesse's shape-shifting gun for Dylan's shape-shifting melee weapon, turning it into a sort of Devil May Cry-like action game with RPG-esque upgrade elements. There are several different weapon types, customizable combo finishers, and status effects to inflict upon enemies with occasionally explosive results. All of that combines with Dylan's exceptionally agile movement abilities to create combat encounters that are speedy and intense at their best.
But even then, there are problems to contend with. Some combat encounters simply involve too many enemies to be fun, and will often devolve into the player smashing the attack button over and over again just to clear some space on the screen. Bigger enemies tend to just be large damage sponges that don't require a lot of thought to kill, and there was even one entire area I played through that was just not enjoyable in the slightest due to some of the enemy behavior there.
From where I'm sitting, the telekinetic gunplay of Control was generally more exciting than this, even if I do like a lot of what's going on in Resonant. Boss fights, at least, have been generally spectacular in my time with the game, and knowing Remedy, there are bound to be unexpected tricks before the credits roll.
Control Resonant is, generally, an OK time, but it has the unfortunate distinction of being the sequel to one of the coolest games of the past decade. I appreciate Remedy's willingness to throw aside what it did before and try new things, but in this case, what was there before worked better.
Control Resonant is available for pre-order now for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S; it will be released on Oct. 15.

Apple finally revealed the new iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max at its Sept. 9 "Surprise and Shine" event, alongside the foldable iPhone Duo.
But believe it or not, there are already credible reports and leaks floating around about a potential 20th anniversary "iPhone 20" arriving in fall 2027. If the rumor mill is correct, Apple will skip the iPhone 19 entirely, and this wouldn't be the first time Apple has gotten creative with numbering. The iPhone 20 would commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original model, which was released on June 29, 2007.
To mark 20 years of the iPhone, Apple has reportedly been prepping a major redesign that uses curved glass elements and potentially even a waterfall display.
If you're on the fence about upgrading to the iPhone 18 Pro, then you may want some idea of what next year's iPhone might look like. So, here are the latest iPhone 20 rumors.
SEE ALSO: Apple's new 'Upgrade' program lets you lease a Mac, iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch like a car iPhone 20: When will it come out?First things first, the release date. Apple always launches its flagship iPhone models in September, and there's currently no reason to think that will change soon.
In other words, it's widely expected that this phone will be announced in early September 2027, followed a week or two later with an official launch. (For reference, the iPhone 18 Pro was announced on Sept. 9 and launches Sept. 18.) The 20th anniversary iPhone is also the perfect opportunity for Apple to do some weird, fun stuff with its signature device.
iPhone 20: What will it look like? This is the big point of interest regarding the iPhone 20, and most of what we know dates back to leaks from last year. In 2025, there were multiple credible reports that the iPhone 20 model would undergo a major redesign that uses significantly more glass than the typical phone.
Bloomberg and The Information both reported in May of last year that it would have an all-glass, edge-to-edge display. Specifically, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the source of more Apple scoops than anyone else on the planet, predicted the iPhone 20 would be a "mostly glass, curved iPhone without any cutouts in the display," and feature "curved glass edges all around." That means curved glass wrapping around the edges of the device, and perhaps more importantly, a seeming lack of a notch or Dynamic Island cutout for the selfie camera.
Other reports point to curves around the four corners of the phone. Also in 2025, Korean outlet ETNews reported the 20th anniversary iPhone will have four-sided bending for a bezel-less full-screen experience.
However, other prominent leakers have thrown cold water on rumors of a radical, waterfall-edge display. On X, leaker Ice Universe said that despite the rumors, the iPhone 20 will not have a true curved display.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. And in 2026, Ice Universe speculated that "a true quad-curved display is unlikely" due to manufacturing challenges, suggesting Apple will opt for a "visual quad-curved" design.
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed. So, instead of a waterfall display with curved glass on the iPhone, we might get something more like the iPhone Air, with rounder corners and sides, plus a visual effect around the edges similar to what you see on the Apple Watch.
Credit: CNET GroupWe've seen wrap-around and waterfall displays on other devices like TVs, but a more sculptural, curved glass iPhone would definitely stand out in the mobile market.
iPhone 20: The latest leaksApple hasn't updated the display sizes for its iPhone Pro models since 2024. From the iPhone 16 to now, they've measured in at 6.3 inches for each Pro model and 6.9 inches for each Pro Max model. At least one source is indicating that the iPhone 20 will change that, while further shrinking the dynamic island.
A new report from leaker Digital Chat Station suggested that Apple will bump the display sizes and resolution for the iPhone 20 Pro models. Here are the rumored new display specs for those devices:
This Tweet is currently unavailable. It might be loading or has been removed.iPhone 20 Pro: 6.41-inch display with 2,686 × 1,236 resolution
iPhone 20 Pro Max: 6.96-inch display with 2,912 × 1,340 resolution
Those each represent upgrades of about a tenth of an inch for each device's display size, with higher resolution on each, over the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models. That's not a huge change, but when combined with the functionally bezel-less displays that are rumored to grace the iPhone 20 models, there could definitely be a perception of a lot more screen real estate on next year's iPhone.
Do the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone Duo tell us anything about the iPhone 20?With the iPhone 18 Pro, Apple reduced the size of the Dynamic Island, and the iPhone Duo utilizes an under-display FaceTime camera that doesn't waste any pixels. It will be interesting to see which of these elements are carried forward into the iPhone 20. For what it's worth, the latest Digital Chat Station leak regarding display sizes also suggested Apple would maintain the hole-punch front camera from the 18 Pro models rather than using an under-camera selfie camera like the iPhone Duo.
Apple has clearly embraced curved glass and refracting light in its new Liquid Glass design language, so it would make sense if the iPhone evolved to match accordingly.
iPhone 20: New buttons!Lastly, for now, leaker Instant Digital posted on Weibo late last year that Apple is working on "solid-state" (in other words, non-moving and non-mechanical) buttons for the iPhone 20. The unique feature here would be haptic feedback for power, volume control, and camera control. I could see this being somewhat controversial, like when Apple got rid of the home button, but we'll have to wait and see.

Six years after launching Christian dating app Upward, the conglomerate Match Group is relaunching it as a marriage-focused app for young singles. Upward is now centered around "modern courtship."
"For a generation told to keep things casual and see where they go, saying you want marriage can almost feel countercultural," said Lauren DeFord, director of brand marketing at Match Group, in a press release shared with Mashable. "Built for people dating with marriage in mind, Upward is a home for singles who know what they want, hold strong standards and believe dating should lead somewhere."
SEE ALSO: FBI warned ICE agents of fake 'tradwife' dating profilesThe shift comes amid a deluge of "tradwife" content on social media, of young women rejecting (or claiming to reject) modern attitudes for more traditional gender roles in their relationships. The trend has reached a new peak in 2026 with Yesteryear, a novel about a tradwife influencer who wakes up in 1855, which has been on the New York Times bestsellers list for 23 weeks.
For several years, young adults have also been decrying hookup culture and casual sex, while also reportedly having less sex than in generations past.
Politics also reflects this cultural moment: The Trump administration is encouraging women to have more children while restricting reproductive rights.
And, according to data, young adults want to tie the knot. Match's recent Singles in America survey found that 72 percent of Gen Z want to get married. Match Group research also found that around one in four U.S. singles between 18 and 34 strongly identify with traditional values around family, faith, and community.
"Many countries in the world have matrimony apps, and for whatever reason, the U.S. has never really had one," Match Group's global chief marketing officer, Stephanie Danzi, told Mashable in a Zoom interview. "Upward was almost naturally emerging as a bit of a matrimonial app by the way that people were using it."
Danzi works specifically with the Everyone Everywhere portfolio, which includes affinity dating apps like Upward, Salams (for Muslim users), and HER (for Sapphic users).
At a time when Gen Z is frustrated by the dating scene — particularly dating apps — Match is betting on Upward to fill a gap.
Hinge vs. UpwardHinge, another app in Match Group's portfolio, is "designed to be deleted." Both apps are relationship-focused, Danzi said, but what makes Upward different is its focus on marriage specifically and the timeline for marriage users are looking for.
"Whereas people on Hinge are there with certainly high intent and positive intent, on Upward, it's nearly...99 percent of people want kids," she said. "Essentially, all people are looking for marriage specifically, and for them, marriage is not an if, it's a when."
The average time from match to marriage for an anecdotal sample of couples who met on Upward (and wrote to Match about their relationship) was under one year.
"We hear from our users that they actually feel like they're coming on too strong on an app like Hinge because they are so marriage and kid-oriented," she said. But on Upward, it's the price of entry.
New features for the dating app 'with marriage in mind'While Upward's users are predominantly Christian (given that it was a Christian dating app), Match found that the defining factor was less about religiosity and more about what family looks like and being goal-oriented towards marriage and family.
"On Upward, what we saw is that actually a lot of our prompts that were around, for example, 'what's your favorite Bible verse,' were actually not that popular, and people were spending a lot more time talking about what they wanted out of a family and out of the future," Danzi explained. People of all faiths are welcome on the app, and it's a young crowd: Match told Mashable that the majority of users are under 35.
In addition to refocusing Upward towards marriage, Match has also refreshed the app experience. It now includes "Chivalry Mode," an opt-in experience for users who prefer a more "traditional" first-move dynamic.
When both users in a match opt-in, the man is encouraged to send the first message (and a "high-quality" one, not just "Hey, what's up?"), and his match chooses whether to respond or unmatch. (Gay users are also welcome on Upward, and there are gay users on the app, Danzi said.) The second user then has 72 hours to respond.
As Danzi told Mashable, a man sending the first message isn't compulsory in Chivalry Mode, but the team has seen that the opt-in feature leads to more conversations.
Recently, the dating app Bumble changed its rules so that male users can message female ones first, after launching in 2014 as a "feminist" dating app where "women make the first move."
Also new is the Marriage Timeline feature, which lets users share when they hope to get married — and they can see other users' timelines, as well.
Users can also pick their "Core Values" on the app so potential matches can see their priorities, such as honor, wisdom, integrity, hard work, community, and friendship. According to Match, nearly every Upward member between 18 and 30 surveyed said they want a family, and "family" is the most-selected Core Value on the app. (On other Match Group apps, like Tinder and Hinge, you can signal lifestyle traits and what you're looking for.)
"The old checklist was height and income," Danzi said. "And the new checklist is about values."

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale is just around the corner — and so are some excellent Apple deals, no doubt. This 48-hour "October Prime Day" serves as Amazon's kickoff to the Black Friday/holiday shopping season, which is the best time to find discounts on popular Apple devices, among many other tech products. This year, it will double as some year-end relief from RAMageddon price increases.
While the sale isn't scheduled to begin for a few more weeks, Amazon is already rolling out some early October Prime Day deals on select gadgets, including most AirPods, Apple Watches, iPads, and MacBooks. That raises the question: If you're thinking about upgrading from an older Apple device to a newer model, should you start adding items to your cart now or hold off for a bit?
SEE ALSO: Amazon announces dates for Prime Big Deal Days, its 48-hour 'October Prime Day' saleThe answer depends on the exact product you're eyeing. Having covered Amazon's sales for years now, I think most of its current Apple deals will get much better on Oct. 6 and 7, when Prime Big Deal Days is officially live. However, a couple of the deals are worth grabbing immediately. In fact, you might miss out if you wait too long.
Read on to find out which five Apple deals I'd add to my cart ASAP, and which others I'm hoping to see once Prime Big Deal Days starts. I've come up with some October Prime Day discount predictions for every current Apple product based on their pricing histories and Amazon's deal patterns. I'm also keeping an eye on rivaling retailers like Walmart and Best Buy to see if they can one-up their offers.
Check back for updates as we get closer to the sale.
The only Apple deals I'd shop before October Prime Day Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple Watch Series 12 (GPS, 42mm) $389.99 at AmazonApple's latest flagship smartwatch hit shelves in mid-September alongside the AirPods 5, Apple Watch Ultra 4, and iPhone 18 Pros. It has an upgraded chipset and sensors that support better heart rate monitoring, a new Readiness feature, and new Audio Intelligence tools. Amazon is currently selling it for $389.99, which is almost $10 off its usual sticker price of $399. That discount isn't huge, but it's probably not going to get any bigger once Prime Big Deal Days starts. Its predecessor, the Series 11, was also only $10 off during its first Prime Big Deal Days.
Check out our breakdown of all the differences between the Apple Watch Series 12 and Series 11.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple Watch Ultra 4 (GPS + cellular, 49mm) $779.99 at AmazonSimilarly, the rugged Apple Watch Ultra 4 isn't heavily discounted but probably won't get any cheaper than it currently is, if history repeats itself. Last year, during Prime Big Deal Days, the last-generation Apple Watch Ultra 3 was marked down to $779.99 (normally $799). Ahead of this year's sale, the Ultra 4 is already matching that. Its upgrades include a faster processor, a longer battery life, and a new heart rate monitoring system; it has the same new health and fitness features as the Series 12.
Read Mashable's review of the Apple Watch Ultra 4.
Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad Pro, 11-Inch (M4, WiFi, 2TB, nano-texture glass) $1,899 at AmazonAmazon still has a couple of older M4 iPad Pros in stock and on sale at deep discounts. One is an 11-inch model with a nano-texture (matte) display and 2TB storage; the other is a 13-inch model with Apple's standard display and 512GB of storage. They're marked down to $1,899 and $1,299, respectively, which is a $200 savings either way. (For reference, they were $250 off and $100 off during Prime Big Deal Days 2025.) They're significantly cheaper than their newer M5 counterparts right now, so I can see them selling out well before this year's October Prime Day.
Read Mashable's review of the 13-inch Apple iPad Air (M4).
October Prime Day AirPods deals to watchApple AirPods 5: The latest flagship AirPods 5 just launched in mid-September, and they're currently stuck at full price. (The standard models retail for $129, while the ones with a wireless charging case cost $149.) They should get cheaper next month, but not by much. The last-gen AirPods 4 only saw a small $10 discount during their first Prime Big Deal Days in 2024, so I think they'll probably go for $119 and $139, respectively.
Apple AirPods Pro 3: The AirPods Pro 3 have better ANC than the regular AirPods 5, plus a longer battery life, an added heart rate sensor, and an exclusive Hearing Aid mode. They're down to $199 right now — a 20% savings — but there's a strong chance they'll dip even lower for October's festivities. Amazon could revive its record-low price of $169, which last appeared right before June's Prime Day sale.
Apple AirPods Pro Max 2: Apple's over-ear headphones are currently on sale for $479 (or $70 off their $549 MSRP), but I'd wait. We saw them fall to $399 a couple of months ago on Prime Day — an impressive 27% savings.

It's definitely not worth buying now at $239, or only $10 off.
Apple MacBook Neo: The cheapest MacBook hasn't gotten any major discounts at major retailers since its March release. (Its current sale price of $689 on Amazon, or $10 off, is its all-time low there.) There's no world where Amazon matches the Apple Store's $100 student discount for Prime Big Deal Days, IMO, but maybe we'll see it hit $649 for the first time next month. It's due for better deals now that it's more than six months old.
Apple MacBook Air: One 13-inch M5 MacBook Air variant was $150 off at the time of writing, but don't add it to your cart yet. Both sizes of last year's M4 MacBook Air were $200 off during Prime Big Deal Days 2025. If Amazon matched that offer in the coming weeks, it would erase the M5 Air's recent price hike. For reference, the 13-inch one usually starts at $1,299, while the 15-inch size typically starts at $1,499; snag them as soon as you catch them at $1,099 and $1,299, respectively.
Apple MacBook Pro: The 14-inch, M5-powered base model with 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage is $150 off right now, but I think Amazon might sell it for $1,799, or $200 off, come Prime Big Deal Days. That's the discount its equally configured predecessor got last fall. (It wouldn't fully negate the MacBook Pro's recent $300 price increase, but it would be a welcome deal regardless. We haven't spotted it on sale for less than $1,849 since June.)

Wait to see if Amazon matches or beats its $70 discount from last year's sale, which would bring it down to just $379.
Apple iPad mini: The smallest, most portable iPad was also $70 off during Prime Big Deal Days 2025, so it's now on sale for $569 (only $30 off). It's worth adding to your cart if you see it drop to $529 or lower.
Apple iPad Air: Both sizes of the latest M4 iPad Air are $100 off right now. That's not bad, but we saw last year's M3 models go on sale for $150 off last October. If Amazon can replicate that for Prime Big Deal Days 2026, it would completely nix the 11-inch version's price hike. That size would return to $599, while the 13-inch model would only be $799 (normally $749 and $949, respectively).
Apple iPad Pro: As mentioned up top, last year's M4 iPad Pros were $100 to $250 off during last year's Prime Big Deal Days — making Amazon's current deals on their successors look pretty pathetic. The 11-inch M5 base model is now $1,139, only $60 off, and the 13-inch model is now $1,427, just $72 off. Ideally, they'll soon hit $1,099 and $1,399 or less, respectively.
