We're just one day away from Black Friday. This year, the biggest shopping event of the year falls on Nov. 28, but that doesn't mean you need to wait until after pumpkin pie to shop. Amazon's official Black Friday sale has been underway since Nov. 20, and we're seeing a bunch of epic deals. Some of our favorite products from Bose, Apple, Anker, and Lego are on sale, in addition to Amazon devices like Kindles and the Echo lineup, plus discounts on some of our favorite gifts for 2025.

These give the entry-level AirPods (currently on sale for $69.99) the nice addition of ANC, which performed so well that it earned these buds a coveted Mashable Choice Award.

It's nearly here! Black Friday, that is. After weeks of anticipation, we're now just one day away from the biggest shopping event of the year. While Black Friday falls on Nov. 28 this year, the big retailers have already taken quite the head start on the sale.

Best Buy dropped early deals and doorbusters starting Oct. 31, and Target started its first holiday savings event on Nov. 6. Now, both Walmart and Amazon have joined the fray, delivering record prices on AirPods, Apple Watches, Kindles, Legos, Ninja appliances, and Samsung TVs. Case in point: Amazon, Best Buy, and now Walmart have all kicked off their official Black Friday sales. So, ready or not, Black Friday is here. NFL Thanksgiving games streaming: How to watch live

Thanksgiving is the season of gratitude, but it’s also the annual tradition of watching your dad and uncles yell at the TV like the refs can hear them.

As far as Thanksgiving holiday traditions go, the NFL on Thanksgiving is baked right into the stuffing. The league has stacked Thanksgiving with games since its early days in 1920. By 1934, the Detroit Lions became the holiday’s official hosts, and in 1966 the Dallas Cowboys joined the yearly lineup, cementing the modern tradition.

This year’s slate is packed: two division rivalries and an appearance from the Super Bowl runner-up Kansas City Chiefs, playing their first Thanksgiving game since 2006.

Here’s how to stream:

Green Bay Packers at Detroit Lions

Kicking off the festivities is an NFC North showdown loaded with playoff implications. The Packers and Lions last met in the season opener, when Green Bay stunned Detroit with a decisive win — a shocker considering the Lions entered the year with some of the highest Super Bowl odds in the league.

Now at 7–4 and fresh off a nail-biter against the 2–10 Giants, Detroit desperately needs this one. Their end-of-season schedule is brutal, and they’re currently sitting just outside the Wild Card picture. Green Bay isn’t exactly cruising either: the Packers are 7–3–1, holding only a half-game edge over Detroit and still staring down two games against the surging 8–3 Bears.

The NFC North is a pressure cooker right now, and only two teams from the division are punching playoff tickets.

If you have cable, the game airs on FOX. Cord-cutters can stream it for free on Tubi at 12 p.m. CT / 1 p.m. ET.

Following the noon matchup, the Dallas Cowboys will host a surprisingly resilient Kansas City Chiefs squad. Dallas is coming off a statement win over the reigning champion Eagles after climbing out of a 21–0 hole. Meanwhile, the Chiefs are riding the momentum of their own after a comeback victory against one of the AFC’s top teams, the Indianapolis Colts.

It’s been a weird season for both franchises. The Cowboys opened the year by trading star edge rusher Micah Parsons to Green Bay after failing to reach a deal on his new contract — a move that stunned just about everyone. The Chiefs, perennial AFC West bullies, suddenly find themselves sitting third at 6–5. For a team that’s made five of the last seven Super Bowls, that’s a jarring place to be. Whether it’s an aging pass rush or an offense that’s grown too predictable, something’s clearly off. Still, back-to-back strong wins have kept them in the hunt.

Both teams desperately need this game to boost their Wild Card odds. The Cowboys, 5–5–1 and sitting 10th in the NFC, essentially need to win out — though matchups against the Commanders and Giants give them a fighting chance. The Chiefs are in a similar logjam, tied with the Steelers and Texans as the most likely contenders for the final AFC Wild Card spot if any combination of Jacksonville, Buffalo, or the Chargers stumble down the stretch.

Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. CT / 4:30 p.m. ET on CBS, with streaming available on Paramount+.

If you’d told NFL fans a few weeks ago that this would be the primetime Thanksgiving headliner, they probably would’ve laughed. But the football gods have blessed us, and now we’re getting Joe Burrow vs. Lamar Jackson in an AFC North rivalry game under the national spotlight. That alone is something to be thankful for.

It’s been a season the Bengals would love to forget. Losing Joe Burrow in Week 2 to a grade 3 turf toe injury — a silly-sounding name for a very real ligament tear in his big toe — derailed everything. Burrow is finally back, but at 3–8, Cincinnati does not remotely resemble the playoff hopeful they expected to be.

The Ravens, on the other hand, were a mess early on. They opened 1–5 before hitting their Week 7 bye, but since then, they've ripped off five straight wins to take control of the AFC North. That’s not exactly a Herculean task given the division standings: Cleveland and Cincinnati sit at 3–8, and Pittsburgh can’t find consistency, going 2–3 over their last five.

Still, Baltimore is hot, and they’ll be looking to ride that momentum straight into another win to solidify their grip on the division. As for the Bengals, they’re not mathematically dead. If they win out — and Burrow stays healthy — they could still finish 9–8 with a puncher’s chance at sneaking into the postseason.

The best deals from Apples Black Friday sale: Score savings on AirPods, Apple TV, and gift cards

Cyber Week is one of the rare times of year when the Apple Store hosts a sale — sort of. Instead of offering cash discounts on its devices, the tech retailer simply doles out free gifts cards with eligible purchases.

Apple's 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday Shopping Event will run from Friday, Nov. 28 through Monday Dec. 1, and it's a little bit more tempting than usual. Shoppers can earn up to $250 worth of free gift cards when they buy one of its gadgets direct, up from $200 in 2024 and 2023. Free money is always nice, of course, but third party retailers' Black Friday price cuts on AirPods, MacBooks, iPads, and Apple Watches are far more competitive. Plus, many newer devices are excluded from the Apple Store's promotion.

Right now, there are only five Apple devices and accessories that I would recommend buying on sale from Apple itself.

The Apple Store's 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday deals

Apple's free gift card offers for Black Friday and Cyber Monday range from $25 to $250, depending on the product. They can only be redeemed on future purchases from the Apple Store in person or online:

Other retailers' Apple deals are way better, for the most part

Most of the Apple Store's offers pale in comparison to other retailers' cash discounts on its devices (with five notable exceptions — more on them shortly). For instance, Amazon and Walmart have the AirPods 4 marked down to $69 during their Black Friday sales, which is a $60 saving on list price. If you buy them directly from Apple instead, you're only getting $25 back.

Here's another example: Amazon and Best Buy are both selling the M4 MacBook Airs for $250 off — the 13-inch model is $749 (normally $999), while the 15-incher is $949 (normally $1,199). It's silly to buy either size directly from the Apple Store if you're only saving $175 or $200 apiece, respectively.

Even the high-end MacBook Pros that come with Apple's highest free gift card offer have steeper discounts elsewhere. The M4 Pro and M4 Max models are anywhere from $250 to $500 off across Amazon and Best Buy.

It's also crucial to know that Apple Store's Cyber Week savings event doesn't include some of newest products, including the M5 MacBook Pro, M5 iPad Pro, Apple Watch Ultra 3, and Beats PowerBeats Fit earbuds. The AirTag, HomePod mini, Mac Studio, and Studio Display are also omitted. Third-party retailers are the only places to get any sorts of deals on most of them. (The PowerBeats Fit are the sole product I couldn't find on sale anywhere.)

5 Black Friday Apple Store deals worth buying

I've cross-checked all of the products featured in Apple's Cyber Week Savings Event and found five instances where its gift card offer was better than a retailer's cash discount. (The rest are all matched or beaten.) There is a chance they'll get cheaper at third-party retailers on Black Friday proper, so consider waiting to buy them just in case.

The AirPods Pro 3 are currently $219.99 (or $30 off) at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target. They come with a free $50 gift card at the Apple Store.

The $149 Apple TV 4K (3rd Gen, WiFi + Ethernet) was on sale for $99.99 at Costco, but it's now sold out there. (The deal was limited to Costco members, anyway.) It's full price everywhere else along with the WiFi-only model. The Apple Store will give you a free $25 gift card for buying either one direct.

The HomePod (2nd Gen) is marked down to $269.99 at Best Buy, which is a $29.01 discount. Meanwhile, it nets you a free $50 gift card via the Apple Store.

The Beats Studio Buds + are $149.95 at Amazon and $149.99 at Best Buy, a $20-ish savings. At the Apple Store, they come with a free $50 gift card.

Finally, Amazon has the M3 iPad Air's Magic Keyboard on sale for $247.50 in the 11-inch size and $299.99 in the 13-inch size, saving shoppers just $21.50 and $19.01, respectively. The Apple Store throws in a $25 gift card if you buy either one there instead.

If you know you're going to be buying something from the Apple Store this Black Friday, buy some Apple gift cards from Target first. Target Circle members get a free $15 Target gift card for every $100 they spend on Apple gift cards there through Nov. 29. Hulu Black Friday 2025 deal: Its here and different this year

Last Black Friday, Hulu delivered one of, if not the best streaming deal of the year. You could pay just $0.99 per month for a whole year of Hulu (with ads). We were really hoping to see this deal make a triumphant return in 2025, but it's looking increasingly unlikely.

That sucks, but you can still save on Hulu in Black Friday 2025.

For Black Friday 2025, new subscribers can sign up for the Disney+ and Hulu bundle (with ads) for $4.99 per month for 12 months (up $2 from last year's deal). Earlier this year, the list price jumped from $10.99 to $12.99 per month, so you'll still save $8 per month or $96 total with this year's discount. It's still a great deal, all things considered.

If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can also get a discounted subscription for Black Friday. The savings aren't quite as steep, but you'll still keep some extra money in your pocket. Usually $19.99 per month, you can get the ad-free bundle for $14.99 per month for 12 months. That saves you $60 total for the year.

This offer is only valid for new and eligible returning Hulu and Disney+ subscribers (basically anyone who hasn't been a Hulu or Disney+ subscriber in the past month) through Dec. 1 (Cyber Monday). So if you want to get double the streaming for less than half the cost, jump on it ASAP. Just remember, once the year is up, you'll be charged full cost (currently $12.99/month) unless you cancel.

Hulu and Disney+ both have pretty expansive catalogs featuring award-winning original series and a boatload of movies fresh from the theater. That includes some of our favorites from the year, including Dying for Sex, Andor, Alien: Earth, The Life of Chuck, The Fantastic Four: First Steps, and so much more. Psst: Taylor Swift's new docuseries will also be on Disney+ in December. Getting unlimited to access to both of these libraries for only $5 each month is absolutely worth it in our eyes — even with some ads sprinkled in.

One thing to note is that Paramount+ is set to raise its prices on both plans as of Jan. 15, 2026. So, this could be your best opportunity to watch new Paramount Pictures theatrical releases (The Naked Gun, Mission Impossible: The Final Reckoning), Paramount+ Originals (Landman, Mayor of Kingstown), or Showtime hits (Yellowjackets, The Curse, The Chi), for cheap. Come January, it'll cost you $8.99 or $13.99 per month. We also highly suggest locking in an annual plan before the price hike hits if you want to save some extra dough.

Paramount+ is also home to local NFL AFC games on Sundays, UEFA Champions League matches, UFC (coming soon), CBS originals like Survivor and Ghosts, and old Nickelodeon and MTV shows. Personally, I'd sign up for the Premium plan over the Essential plan, as it also unlocks the full Showtime library and ad-free viewing.

At $698, this Black Friday deal not only beats its Prime Day price by more than $50, but it marks a new record-low. It's not quite as impressive as its QM8K sibling, but the QM6K is "a stellar mini LED TV for the low-to-mid-tier price range," as our team pointed out in our roundup of the best TVs for 2025.

While we do think the LG C5 is the best OLED TV you can buy right now, it's not necessarily the best Black Friday OLED TV deal. For example, the $1,399.99 "sale price" on the 65-inch C5 at Best Buy looks like an incredible deal until you realize that that TV has been $1,399.99 at Amazon since October. (Camelcamelcamel spills the price history tea once again.)

In terms of legit record-low discounts, the 65-inch Samsung S95F OLED's $1,000 discount is new for Black Friday, and you'll get a free $100 Best Buy gift card on top of that. The S95F is still one of our top OLED recommendations, mostly due to its anti-glare matte finish that's highly effective in bright rooms.

Wordle eventually became so popular that it was purchased by the New York Times, and TikTok creators even livestream themselves playing.

The entire archive of past Wordle puzzles was originally available for anyone to enjoy whenever they felt like it, but it was later taken down, with the website's creator stating it was done at the request of the New York Times. The NYT Connections puzzle today is not too difficult to solve if you're a builder.

Connections is the one of the most popular New York Times word games that's captured the public's attention. The game is all about finding the "common threads between words." And just like Wordle, Connections resets after midnight and each new set of words gets trickier and trickier—so we've served up some hints and tips to get you over the hurdle.

If you just want to be told today's puzzle, you can jump to the end of this article for today's Connections solution. But if you'd rather solve it yourself, keep reading for some clues, tips, and strategies to assist you.

The NYT's latest daily word game has become a social media hit. The Times credits associate puzzle editor Wyna Liu with helping to create the new word game and bringing it to the publications' Games section. Connections can be played on both web browsers and mobile devices and require players to group four words that share something in common.

Each puzzle features 16 words and each grouping of words is split into four categories. These sets could comprise of anything from book titles, software, country names, etc. Even though multiple words will seem like they fit together, there's only one correct answer.

If a player gets all four words in a set correct, those words are removed from the board. Guess wrong and it counts as a mistake—players get up to four mistakes until the game ends.

Players can also rearrange and shuffle the board to make spotting connections easier. Additionally, each group is color-coded with yellow being the easiest, followed by green, blue, and purple. Like Wordle, you can share the results with your friends on social media.
