The best Prime Day tablet deals are difficult to find among the deluge of discounts that are drowning shoppers at Amazon.
Instead of scratching your head over which tablet deal is worth it — and which ones are worth skipping — wouldn't it be nice to simply ask an expert, someone who knows tablets, to help you make sense of it all? As it turns out, you're in luck. I happen to review tech for a living, including laptops, phones, and, of course, tablets.
I know which tablets are worth grabbing (i.e., the iPad Pro), as well as the ones you should pass on (like the new iPad Air). That being said, here are the best Prime Day tablet deals. (While you're at it, check out our Prime Day tech deals hub, which was also curated by an expert.)

It's the thinnest Apple product ever, making it super light, ultra-portable, and travel-friendly
The battery life, tested by Mashable, is out of this world
Mind-blowing performance that beats some laptops
To dive deeper into these three points, Apple boasted that its latest iPad Pro is thinner than an iPod Nano. But when I actually got a chance to play with it, as I mentioned in my review, it was like holding the whispers of technology in my palms.
Next, the battery life is incredible. I ran a TikTok rundown on the 13-inch iPad Pro, and to my surprise, it lasted 16 hours and 24 minutes on a single charge. With the 11-inch iPad Pro sporting the same M4 chip, it should offer a similar runtime.
And finally, after running some benchmarks, the iPad Pro has incredible performance, so much so that it even beats some MacBooks and PCs. The only downside I noticed during my testing, however, is that the iPad Pro can run hot while running some intensive tasks (e.g., gaming). Plus, if you want to transform your iPad Pro into a laptop-like setup, I suggest upgrading to the 13-inch model and pairing it with Apple's Magic Keyboard.

Lenovo Chromebook Duet Credit: Kimberly Gedeon / MashableI own a Chromebook Duet — and it's the one of the best budget tablets on the market, particularly if you often work with the Android ecosystem. Here's why I recommend the Chromebook Duet:
It has a budget-friendly price tag of less than $200
It has a battery runtime of about 9 to 10 hours
Great for Google-focused workflows
The above selling points speak for themselves. The Chromebook Duet won't break the bank, and it delivers killer battery life. But keep in mind that it has ChromeOS built into its system, not Android, so this device is best for users with Google-focused workflows.

It ships with an S Pen
Decent battery life (compared to similarly priced tablets)
Sturdy, waterproof build
Many tablets out there support styli (yes, styli is the plural of stylus), but they don't ship with an actual pen. The Galaxy Tab S9 FE, on the other hand, does come with the S Pen included, so you don't have to worry about purchasing one separately. On top of that, it's one of the best Android tablets (perhaps next to its pricier Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra sibling).
According to our sister site PCMag (we share the same parent company, Ziff Davis), the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ lasted about 8 hours on a charge (which isn't half bad compared to similarly priced competitors). My only caution is that this is a mid-range tablet, so its performance is not built to support heavy graphics rendering. If you want a turbocharged Android tablet, I suggest getting the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra instead.

Credit: AmazonOnePlus is beginning to catch the attention of consumers who often only flock to Apple, Google, and Samsung for their mobile needs. After getting glowing reviews for its smartphone efforts, OnePlus is now getting praise for the OnePlus Pad. Here's why I recommend it:
It has a striking, vibrant, 11.6-inch, 2800 x 2000-pixel screen
Loud, booming speakers
Decent battery life
According to our sister site PCMag, OnePlus lasted about 8 hours on a charge. That's certainly not as long as the 16-hour iPad Pro, but it should be able to last an 8-hour work or school day. It also has a slick Android skin, punchy audio, and a gorgeous display. One thing to consider, however, is that the OnePlus Pad may not be able to keep up with more intensive workflows.

Despite being less than $150 at Amazon, the software on Galaxy A9+ is seamless for anyone who wants to get light work done on it. As PCMag pointed out, it sports some "productivity boosters," including a hideable taskbar, the ability to use multiple apps at once, and easy sharing of media between other Samsung devices.
If you own a Samsung phone, the Galaxy A9+ Plus is my recommendation if you're seeking a wallet-friendly, smooth-and-seamless Android tablet.

That's an all-time-low price and $110 in savings from its list price of $259.99.
I've tested a previous version of this grill, and used the newer version at a family member's home, and it's a great kitchen tool, especially for those who live in small spaces. It can get you a good sear and grill marks — it circulates heat like an air fryer — while limiting smoke output via its heavy-duty hood.
Ninja's Foodi line has long competed with Instant Pot, which has a cheaper option, but the Foodi XL grill is definitely a product worth considering, in my experience. And if you're in the market for a cooking gadget Ninja might be the choice for this Prime Day. Mashable has an updated list of the best Ninja deals, which are especially prevalent this Prime Day. As Senior Shopping Reporter Leah Stodart wrote, "Ninja is making sure it catches your eye when you drop it into the search bar on Prime Day."
SAVE UP TO 19%: Oura's third-generation smart ring is between 15% and 19% off on Amazon, depending on your choice of color.

If you've been looking for a wearable that can track your sleep metrics (among other things), the discounted Oura Ring Gen 3 might be right for you.
As one of the many deals available on Prime Day, Oura is selling its latest smart ring for between 15 and 19% off, depending on color. For instance, the silver model is 19% off, coming in at $282.69 rather than the list price of $349. On the other end of the price spectrum, the rose gold model is $444.69 after a 19% discount because it normally runs customers $549.
But every color is discounted to some extent, which is ideal for wearable shoppers because the very similar Samsung Galaxy Ring is right around the corner at $399. If you want to track your sleep and other health metrics without diving fully into the Samsung product ecosystem, now might be the time.
SAVE $50: The Echo Show 10 makes a fantastic kitchen companion and is on sale for $199.99, down from $249.99 during Prime Day.

I use it daily for music and checking the weather (very high-tech, I know). When my mom came to visit me last year, she became enamored by the Amazon device. She thought it was so cool and would fit perfectly in her kitchen.
So, during Black Friday 2023, I took advantage of a steep discount and bought an Echo Show 10 for my mom for her December birthday. She has, on multiple occasions, told me about a new feature she discovered or that she uploaded her photos to the device to cycle through during our regular phone calls.
Just this morning, she called me to ask me 1) what the device is called, and 2) if it's on sale for Prime Day. She has some friends visiting her for the week and apparently one of them is interested in an Echo Show 10 for herself.
Unfortunately, the 2024 Prime Day deal is not as great as the 2023 Black Friday deal — $50 off this year versus $90 off last year. However, my mom and I both swear by the device and would still recommend buying at the current Prime Day discount.
As one of Mashable's senior shopping reporters, I vet thousands of laptop deals on a very regular basis. This means I'm always hoarse from hollering about how Amazon is the worst place to find them.
Shoppers can be easily misled by the retail giant's myriad incorrect sticker prices, and its selection of laptop brands pales in comparison to that of other retailers (particularly Best Buy); the only models it reliably stocks and discounts year-round are newer Apple MacBooks. Outside of that category, a good chunk of the laptops I encounter on Amazon (too many) are sold by sketchy third-party sellers instead of Amazon itself. Generally speaking, the laptop deals there just aren't worth most people's time — or mine, frankly.
I sing a different tune on Prime Day, though. Once Amazon's flagship summer sale starts (and not a moment sooner), it conveniently decides to list a wider array of legitimately good deals on laptops that it personally ships and sells — that I'm more likely to recommend. Why doesn't it do this year-round? Good question! Regardless, Amazon and I have a peace treaty of sorts for those blissful 48 hours.

Having scoped out some of the best laptop deals available during Prime Day 2024 (live through Wednesday, July 17), I can tell you that Amazon has some good options for those looking for Apple MacBooks, LG grams, and gaming laptops from Acer and Asus. But I'd also still encourage you to branch out to Best Buy: Its Black Friday in July savings event has shaped up to be some serious Prime Day competition, and smart shoppers would be remiss not to cross-check both sales.

Seriously, though, this is an unprecedented record-low for Apple's latest 13-inch MacBook Air, a Mashable Choice Award-winner (and our current favorite MacBook for most people) that has a peppy CPU, WiFi 6E support, and the closed-lid ability to drive two external monitors at once. Its discount comes thanks to an on-page coupon that drops its sale price by an additional $50, so be sure to tick that box next to the orange flag on its product page before heading to checkout. (The 15-inch model was getting the same treatment at the time of writing, if you want two extra speakers and a bigger display.)
For what it's worth, Best Buy was matching this offer during its Black Friday in July sale, but only for paid members of its My Best Buy program.

For only $50 more, I'd strongly consider buying the M3 Air if you're looking to upgrade from an older MacBook. But if you just want to spend as little as possible, the M2 version is an excellent value at just $799, its own all-time low. It's up for grabs at both Amazon and Best Buy, with no memberships required to access their deals.

The OmniBook X is one of the all-new CoPilot+ PCs powered by a snazzy Snapdragon X Elite chip, and this is the first time I've caught it on sale since it launched in mid-June. (Come to think of it, this is the first time I've caught any CoPilot+ PC on sale.) Mashable Tech Editor Kim Gedeon recently gave it a 4.5/5 rating and a Mashable Choice Award, deeming it "the best Windows laptop I've tested this year" in her review: "It's fun, fast, and fierce," she wrote, commending its MacBook-beating performance and battery life. I'll soon be updating our Windows laptop guide accordingly.

It's not specced to the nines, but it's an awesome, approachable option for casual gamers with an awesome, approachable price — now more than ever. Spotify's AI DJ is launching in Spanish as an entirely different persona: Livi.
The music giant's AI DJ — which uses a combination of personalization technology, generative AI, and an AI voice — serves up customized recommendations to listeners in a conversational tone. It first came to Premium English-speaking users in early 2023. This announcement comes after Spotify raised its prices in the U.S. twice in the past year.
SEE ALSO: Amazon Music Unlimited vs. Spotify Premium: A comparisonThe English persona, DJ X, is named after Xavier Jernigan, head of cultural partnerships and host at Spotify, who provided his voice for the AI to model. He worked with the team to make the vocabulary and speech patterns as accurate as possible. And the music service is keeping up the DJ authenticity. Instead of translating his voice into Spanish, Spotify opted to use another employee as a model for the Spanish DJ.
Senior Music Editor at Spotify in Mexico City, Olivia Quiroz Roa, is the model for DJ Livi. According to a press release, she was chosen after "an extensive international casting call" because her voice "resonated the most with listeners," they praised her "relatability."
DJ Livi will be available for Premium users in markets where the AI DJ is currently available, and will be expanded to select markets in Latin America and Spain.

As of July 17, you can snag the XGIMI Horizon Ultra at a $1,499.99 at Amazon, which is the lowest price we've seen on this projector since its launch. It's a $200 discount, bringing the price down 12% from the launch MSRP. While that may not seem like much, it's the first time we've seen this high-end projector go down to this price.

These features are rare in home projectors, and those that have it typically cost way more than this one. I had the pleasure of reviewing the XGIMI Horizon Ultra last year, and it has become an integral part of my home theater setup. The in-built Harman Kardonn speakers are a delight, with adequately sharp but booming audio that doesn't sound like it's coming from the projector at all. On top of that, this is easily the least boring-looking projector I've seen, which is crucial for those who care about not having an ugly cuboid in the middle of their living space.
Additionally, the picture quality is excellent, with ample brightness and contrast, and the Dolby Vision support means I never got a drowned-out image. At this discounted price, the XGIMI Horizon Ultra is an easy recommendation. The only issue I had with the projector was the low amount of RAM, which led to a laggy experience on the built-in Google TV experience. However, updates have countered this flaw quite a bit. Additionally, it supports HDMI 2.0 input, so you can hook it up to any device of your choice, and the lag won't be a factor.
Gaming is one of the most fun and rewarding hobbies that you can pick up. I should know — I've basically had a controller in my hand since I was a small child.
But, gaming has a notoriously intimidating barrier to entry. Not only is there so much to catch up on if you're looking to experience some of the older, iconic games of the past in addition to the current zeitgeist, but getting into gaming also comes along with a potentially eye-popping price of admission considering all the gear you'll need to buy to get started. That's not even mentioning that you'll need to develop the skills to "get good," so that you can actually finish these games.

While I'm usually a PlayStation die-hard, I can't deny that the bang for your buck is hard to beat with the pint-sized gaming box. I boot mine up constantly. Not only is it super budget-friendly, but it can also run all those fancy new games you'll want to start crossing off your backlog with ease, and you'll have the ability to take advantage of Xbox Game Pass. That's the true star of the show here — new gamers will get a lot out of Game Pass, as they'll have access to a gigantic library of games to play without having to buy each one individually. You can just go nuts and download everything in sight. How can you beat that?
During Prime Day, the best Xbox Series S deal is actually located at Best Buy (step your game up, Amazon). Pick up this bundle deal to get the 512GB version of the console with the addition of a 2TB Seagate expansion card, which will prove extremely useful as you start queueing up your new games for download. It's $529.98, which saves you $130.
Best subscription deal Opens in a new window Credit: Xbox Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership (1 month) $14.99 at AmazonIf you have an Xbox, I think it's a necessity for you to pair it with an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate membership. I already mentioned it briefly above, but Game Pass is basically just a massive library of classic and current game titles that you can download and play at your leisure, rather than having to buy each one individually. That includes Xbox-exclusive games on release day at no extra charge. It's like Netflix, but for video games. I've been subscribed for years, and can't imagine myself leaving anytime soon.
You'll also be able to play online with friends (a must), make use of cloud gaming features, and get member-exclusive deals and discounts in the Microsoft storefront. It's not the wildest amount of savings, but we'll take it: Xbox Game Pass Ultimate one-month memberships are $2 off for Prime Day.

The 4K resolution and picture quality you get at this price is just wild, and with the addition of HDR and an intuitive UI, it's really a match made in heaven for any gaming console.
While you could probably go bigger, I think this 43-inch model is one of the best gaming TV deals you're going to find this Prime Day. Just $219.99 is an absolute steal.

Before coming to Mashable, I covered all things home. I spent hours building furniture, comparing rug density, and analyzing the merits of different fans. While I may have left the expansive world of home products for tech, I remain passionate about the best products out there.
In my experience, home products can get overhyped easily. Dubbed the "Cheeky Controller," this new gadget features a design inspired by Deadpool’s famously well-rounded posterior. The Merc with a Mouth's signature red and black color scheme is all over it, and it's apparently crafted to feel "firm (yet surprisingly comfortable)."

EA's highly anticipated game College Football '25 has seemingly caused issues with the servers before it has even officially been released.
Lots of folks seemingly opted to pay extra to get early access to the game, scheduled for wide release on Friday. Social media has been flooded with complaints from people saying they're getting an error message when trying to connect to College Football '25's servers.

Long considered the best sports gaming franchise, it disappeared for a decade due to NCAA compensation rules. College Football '25 represented a dream delayed for a decade.

Besides the shopping behemoth that started it all, it's become tradition for other huge retailers like Best Buy to host a major sale event of their own — which coincidentally falls on or near Prime Day, of course.
Hot on the heels of Best Buy's 4th of July sale, the retailer is hosting Black Friday in July sale from July 15 through 17. (Did anyone put money on that?) That not only sucks up some attention from actual Prime Day on July 16 and 17, but also offers one extra day for shopping — though a huge chunk of Prime Day deals are already live on July 15.
