If you've gotten used to where Google Maps displays weather information, I have bad news for you.
Google is planning on slightly tweaking the Google Maps mobile app by putting weather somewhere else, per 9to5Google. Weather has only been part of the Maps experience for less than a year and, until this change, it has sat in the upper left hand corner of the map display as you scroll around looking for a place to get lunch. Once the change goes through (it's only visible in beta versions of the app right now), Google is moving weather to the module on the bottom of the screen.
SEE ALSO: Google Maps is cracking down on fake business reviews Weather sits here for now, but probably not for much longer. Credit: Screenshot: GoogleThis change comes only a couple of months after Google Maps on iOS got a somewhat major redesign, streamlining the number of tabs on the bottom of the screen from five to three. Given that weather has only been included in Google Maps for months instead of years, the change is unlikely to ruin anyone's day, but it is worth knowing about so you can prepare for it.
You wouldn't want to be rained out on the way to lunch, right?
It looks like even more AI is going to be trained on your shitposts on X.
X announced back in July that it would use users posts to train X's AI chatbot Grok, but on Wednesday, the social network updated its Privacy Policy to allow third parties to train their AI models on X data, too.
In the third section of the Privacy Policy, X writes that "depending on your settings, or if you decide to share your data, we may share or disclose your information with third parties."
SEE ALSO: Meta is using your posts to train AI. It's not easy to opt out."If you do not opt out, in some instances the recipients of the information may use it for their own independent purposes in addition to those stated in X’s Privacy Policy, including, for example, to train their artificial intelligence models, whether generative or otherwise," the policy reads.
If you haven't already opted out of allowing X to train Grok on your posts, you can still do that. The new policy doesn't go into effect until November 15, 2024, and it doesn't look like there's any way to block X from allowing third parties to train their AI on your posts just yet. God willing, you'll be able to do this once it does go into effect.
Christmas stocking stuffers have long been the afterthoughts of gift-giving, mere "Let's just get this out of the way" or "Oh no, I forgot again" presents like oven mitts, bulk chocolate candy, and anything bacon-scented. (Do not get us started on wh*skey st*nes.) Most of these last-minute gift ideas are just begging to be tossed in a junk drawer or the donation pile, never to see the light of day again. Granted, it's a fate they probably deserve.
But let's be clear on something: You don't have to buy stuff that's bad, boring, or cheaply made just because it's small in size and set to arrive before Christmas. Picking out the best stocking stuffers is a cinch, so long as you know who you're shopping for... and where to look.

SEE ALSO: Review: I can't believe how much I loved the Shark AI Ultra 2-in-1 robot vacuumThe Shark AI Ultra robot vacuum is powerful enough to tackle pet hair and heavy debris (like cereal, chip remnants, and whatever else your roommates or family manage to get on the floor). It features Matrix Clean navigation, so no spot goes untouched. The cool thing is that you can create no-go zones and schedule cleanings from the Shark Clean app, so you can clean your floors from anywhere at any time without worrying about it falling down the stairs or running into furniture.
It’s also bagless and includes a self-emptying base that can hold up to 30 days’ worth of dirt and debris. For less than $300, it’s a total steal.
