Amazon is home to good MacBook deals year-round (more so than any other kind of laptop), but its selection sees especially deep discounts during certain sitewide savings events. This time, it's Prime Big Deal Days, the retailer's members-only "October Prime Day" sale on Oct. 8 and 9, which has brought dramatic price drops across Apple's lineup ahead of a possible M4 refresh.
With Prime Big Deal Days underway, things have gone as expected: Amazon has discounted most MacBooks across the M2 and M3 generations, and two of our favorite models are currently sitting at record-low prices. That would be the M2 MacBook Air and the M3 MacBook Pro; we think they're the best budget MacBook and the best MacBook for video editing, respectively.
SEE ALSO: Everything you need to know about Amazon's October Prime Day sale: Start time, the competition, and moreThese are early deals that didn't go down once the event actually started, but that doesn't mean they're the absolute best MacBook deals you'll find this week. We'll be keeping an eye on them over the next few days while closely monitoring competing deals at other retailers. (For its part, Best Buy will be running a 48-Hour Flash Sale during Prime Big Deal Days.)
Read on for a closer look at the best early October Prime Day deals on MacBooks. Note: Deals marked with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low price.
Best MacBook Air deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple MacBook Air, 13-inch (M2, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) 🔥 $749.00 at AmazonRead Mashable's full review of the 13-inch Apple MacBook Air (M2).
The 13-inch MacBook Air from mid-2022 is a Mashable Choice Award winner that combines "[rock]-solid battery life" with "a keyboard that’s to die for, and enough horsepower to handle everyday tasks with ease," wrote tech and games reporter Alex Perry. It's our current favorite "budget" MacBook, and it's now cheaper than ever before.
You can snag the base configuration with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for $749, or $250 off its $999 MSRP. If it sells out on Amazon, check Best Buy: It was matching the deal at the time of writing.

Read Mashable's full review of the 14-inch Apple MacBook Pro (M3).
The latest 14-inch MacBook Pro features an M3 chip that supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing for rendering lifelike lighting, plus a bright 120Hz mini-LED display, tons of ports (including an SDXC card slot), and a battery that lasted over 16 hours per charge in our testing. It's another Mashable Choice Award winner.
All configurations of the 14-inch M3 Pro are now on sale at all-time lows on Amazon (including the base model, which is now just $1,299). However, we're partial to the bumped-up version with 16GB of memory and 1TB of SSD storage: That extra RAM is necessary if you're going to be using it for multitasking and/or creative work. Normally $1,999, it's now just $1,698 — a 15% savings.

UPDATE: Oct. 9, 2024, 7:00 a.m. EDT This post has been updated with the latest pricing and availability on Apple Watches for Prime Big Deal Days, plus more deals you can shop from Amazon.
The best Apple Watch deals of Prime Day at a glance: Best Series 9 deal Apple Watch Series 9 (41mm, GPS) $299 at Amazon (Save $100) Get Deal Best Series 10 deal Apple Watch Series 10 (46mm, GPS) $405.99 at Amazon (Save $23.01) Get Deal Best Ultra deal Apple Watch Ultra 2 $734.89 at Amazon (Save $64.11) Get Deal Best SE deal Apple Watch SE (40mm, GPS) $169.99 at Amazon (save $79.01) Get DealPrime Big Deal Days (aka Prime Day part two) is in its final day, and we're tracking all the best deals. As in years past, Amazon came through with early price drops on major categories, including Apple Watches, weeks ahead of the big event. And now that the sale is officially underway, prices on Apple smartwatches are dropping even further.
SEE ALSO: Everything you need to know about Amazon's October Prime Day sale: Official dates, the competition, and moreWe started seeing price cuts on the Series 9, Ultra 2, and even the brand-new Series 10 last week. Prices on those models have largely remained the same for day two of the sale. That's not a bad thing, of course. A $100 price cut on the Series 9 watches is welcome, and we'll likely see them get phased out after this fall shopping season, making it a good time to pick one up. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch SE just got an extra $30 price drop in multiple configurations, dropping most models to new record-low prices.
We'll be keeping an eye out for further price drops as Prime Big Deal Days continues. Be sure to check back for updates throughout the sale (and even after since Apple Watch deals often run beyond the official end of Prime Day).
Note: All newly added deals are marked with a ✨, while deals with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low price. Deals with a strikeout were either sold out or expired at the time of writing.
Best Apple Watch deal Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple Watch Series 9 (41mm, GPS) $299.00 at AmazonCheck out our full review of the Apple Watch Series 9.
At just one year old, the Series 9 is hardly outdated. It comes with the same 18 hours of battery life as the Series 10 and many of the same fitness features. While you'll get a slightly larger display with the newer Apple Watch and a sleep apnea sensor, you'll save $100 on the Series 9 because it's the "old" Apple Watch.
Both series have the same 2,000-nit max brightness, which Mashable Senior Editor Stan Schroeder said was one of the best reasons to grab the watch. Overall, if you've never bought into the Apple Watch ecosystem and want to save some cash, this Series 9 deal is a decent bang for your buck. If $299 is still out of your ideal price range, the Apple Watch SE makes a great alternative – Amazon price history shows this model is at an all-time low.

LIVE BLOG: The latest news on October Prime Day 2024
UPDATE: Oct. 8, 2024, 6:45 a.m. EDT This post has been updated with the latest Amazon book deals on Prime Big Deal Days.
The best Prime Day book deals at a glance: Best book deal overall 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear $9.33 at Amazon (save $17.67 with on-page coupon) Get Deal Best book bundle deal Dr. Seuss’s Beginner Book Boxed Set Collection $26.47 at Amazon (save $23.48) Get Deal Best Kindle deal 'Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals' by Oliver Burkeman $2.99 at Amazon (save $17) Get DealPrime Day is here yet again — the bi-annual shopping event (this time known as Prime Big Deal Days) is coming up on Oct. 8 and 9, and Amazon’s already offering discounts on countless products across all categories. One category you might not expect to see a lot of deals on is books, but that's exactly what we're seeing on Amazon's website right now. (Amazon did start as an online bookstore, so it kind of makes sense.)
We’ve found tons of book titles from a wide variety of genres that are currently on sale, from bestselling novels to nonfiction and children's books. Kindle and e-book editions are up to 80% off their typical list prices, while hardcover and paperback books are seeing discounts of up to 50% off.
Here are some of the best book deals that captured our attention, but make sure to check back as we're updating our stories constantly during the event.
Best book deal overall Opens in a new window Credit: Avery 'Atomic Habits' by James Clear $9.33 at AmazonIf you’re not into self-help books, James Clear’s Atomic Habits might not be on your radar. But this is one of the best nonfiction titles to come out within the past few years, and it's currently 65% off in hardcover — thanks to a new on-page coupon.
This book is all about teaching yourself to build good habits, break bad ones, and generally become more focused, productive, and successful in your daily life. And at less than $10 for the hardcover, it’s a steal.
Best book bundle deal Opens in a new window Credit: Random House Books for Young Readers Dr. Seuss’s Beginner Book Boxed Set Collection: 'The Cat in the Hat'; 'One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish'; 'Green Eggs and Ham'; 'Hop on Pop'; 'Fox in Socks' $26.47 at AmazonWhether you have kids or you’re an adult who’s looking to add another classic book series to your collection, the Dr. Seuss’s Beginner Book Boxed Set Collection: The Cat in the Hat; One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish; Green Eggs and Ham; Hop on Pop; Fox in Socks is on sale for just $26.47.
That’s five iconic Dr. Seuss books for less than $30, which is an awesome deal considering each of these books typically sells for around $9 to $12 individually.
This book set is the perfect gift for new parents, birthdays, holidays, or just to add to the family home library.
Best Kindle deal Opens in a new window Credit: Farrar, Straus and Giroux 'Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals' by Oliver Burkeman $2.99 at AmazonIf you’ve ever mumbled that 24 hours just wasn’t enough time in a day, Oliver Burkeman’s Four Thousand Weeks: Time Management for Mortals — currently 84% off the Kindle edition price — might be just the book for you.
This book has a ton of “life hacks” that can help you prioritize your time and figure out what's really worth doing — it's kind of an anti-productivity productivity book. If you're overwhelmed by the constant demands on your time and attention, this e-book promises to help you take back control and get more done.
You can get it for free with a Kindle Unlimited subscription, or pay just $2.99 to own it outright.

"The new Fire HD 8 has the same display, processor, 13-hour battery life, and storage options as the older model, but Amazon's added a gig of extra RAM for "enhanced performance while streaming, gaming, browsing, or downloading photos and videos." (Don't expect it to be super powerful, but more memory never anyone.) Its rear camera has also gotten a bump from 2MP to 5MP, which should translate to slightly better shots. On the software side, its newly added generative AI features include Writing Assist, Webpage Summaries, and a Wallpaper Creator.
No need to upgrade if you already own the previous model, but those in need of a new portable, affordable tablet should consider short-listing this guy. The 32GB base model is on sale for $54.99 through Oct. 9 (the second half of Prime Big Deal Days), which works out to a 45% savings." — Haley Henschel, Senior Shopping Reporter

Opens in a new window Credit: Microsoft Microsoft Surface Laptop 7, 13-inch (Snapdragon X Elite, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD) $1,699.99 at AmazonRead Mashable's full review of the 13-inch Microsoft Surface Laptop 7.
"This upgraded configuration of the new Surface Laptop 7 features a Snapdragon X Elite processor with 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. With M3 Macbook-beating performance, a battery life of just under 23 hours, and some new AI-powered features that 'make Windows fun again,' per tech editor Kim Gedeon, it's easily the best laptop we've tried so far in 2024. Just make sure you won't into any app compatibility issues with Windows on ARM.
It usually retails for $1,999.99, but Amazon has it on sale for $1,699.99 during Prime Big Deal Days — a new record low. Note that it was price-matched at Best Buy and in the Microsoft Store at the time of writing." — Haley Henschel, Senior Shopping Reporter

Opens in a new window Credit: Amazon Amazon Echo Buds with Active Noise Cancellation (Wired Charging Case) $34.99 at AmazonRead Mashable's full review of the Amazon Echo Buds with Active Noise Cancellation.
"Simply put, you really don't see earbuds with halfway decent active noise cancellation below $50, much less below $40. In my testing of budget noise-cancelling headphones, I found that the Anker Soundcore Life P3i earbuds fared well with noise-cancelling and audio quality for around $50. I opted for them instead of the Echo Buds because of the price discrepancy, but with the Echo Buds at a whopping 71% off, it'd be hard to recommend another pair of earbuds if you're looking for the cheapest way to get the best ANC possible.
You'll deal with some quirks like Amazon wanting you to lean heavy into using Alexa, and a battery life that's nothing to write home about, for $35 you could do a lot worse." — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

"Maybe your Bluetooth speaker kicked the dust this summer after one too many pool parties. If you find yourself in the market for a new one, Prime Day is an especially great time to hit add to cart.
If you need a speaker for a party, the JBL PartyBox is just that. Despite its large size, the shoulder strap makes it easy to carry. Plus, six hours of battery life keeps it running all night long. Built-in lights and a microphone really keep things turning up all night long.
This Prime Day, you can find the JBL PartyBox down to $299.95, saving $50 for 14% off." — Samantha Mangino, Shopping Reporter

"Who says you need to spend a grand to get a nice (and decently sized) 4K TV? With the 35% discount that Amazon slapped on the 55-inch version of its most affordable Fire TV, Prime members could actually get one for two different rooms for way less than $1,000.
As Amazon's most basic in-house Fire TV, the 4-Series would be best suited for people who aren't super picky about saturation or brightness levels as long as it's a step up from their old LED TV — and this definitely will be. With the intuitive Fire TV platform built-in, the 4-Series can access all of your favorite streaming apps, which you can arrange in whatever layout makes sense to you." — Leah Stodart, Senior Shopping Reporter

Is the Amazon Fire Stick 4K the best streamer we've ever tested? No, Roku takes the cake there. However, it still works perfectly fine, and not to mention, it's hard to turn away from its delightful $30 price tag on Prime Day. Having tested the Amazon Fire Stick TV, set-up is easy, as simple as plugging it into an HDMI port in the back of your TV.
While the home screen is a little clunky and slow, full of ads and promotions for Prime Video content, it is a dream for those who primarily stream on the site. The Amazon Fire Stick 4K is down to $24.99, saving you $25 and 50% off.

Opens in a new window Credit: Garmin Garmin Venu 3S $395.00 at Amazon"Ideal for smaller wrists, the Garmin Venu 3S is about .2 inches smaller in diameter and .3 oz lighter than the standard Venu 3. It still offers the same advanced features, like a built-in speaker and microphone to take calls, the ability to store music, and an abundance of health and fitness tools and insights. The only real difference besides the size is that the 3S has a slightly shorter battery life (about 10 days in smartwatch mode versus the 3's 14 days), but it still blows the Apple Watch battery out of the water. It's usually $449.99, but you can save $55 during the October Prime event and get it for only $395. That's a new all-time low." — Christina Buff, Mashable Shopping Contributor

Mashable's Bethany Allard has spent a lot of time with the Dyson Supersonic, assessing its performance and value. While Allard commends the hair dryer for its lightweight design, quick drying, and user-friendliness, its downfall comes with its $429.99 price tag. However, Prime Day presents a fantastic saving opportunity.
During Prime Big Deal Days, get the Dyson Supersonic for $329.99, saving $100 on the device. Included with the hair dryer are several magnetic attachments including a diffuser, styling concentrator, flyaway attachment, gentle air attachment, and a wide tooth comb attachment.

This book is all about teaching yourself to build good habits, break bad ones, and generally become more focused, productive, and successful in your daily life. And at just $9.33 for the hardcover, it’s a steal." — Tabitha Britt, Mashable Shopping Contributor

"If you could put a price tag on peace of mind, it'd be pretty close to this Blink Whole Home Bundle deal. It includes the Blink Outdoor 4, Mini 2, Video Doorbell, and Sync Module 2, all for just $89.97. That's 55% off the retail value and the lowest price we've seen on this particular bundle. The Blink Mini 2 can take care of the inside of your home, day or night, while the Outdoor 4 can keep an eye on things outside. Paired with the Blink app, the video doorbell can show you who shows up at your door (even at night). And the Sync Module 2 will let you keep track of all the action in one place (and store your clips locally). It's one of the most affordable ways to keep an eye on every part of your home." — Christina Buff, Mashable Shopping Contributor

"Samsung's Galaxy A35 is a 'strong buy for the price,' as our friends at PCMag (also owned by Ziff Davis) said in their review. The budget-friendly Galaxy phone was released as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy S24. As a budget phone, it doesn't offer the same speed and performance as the S24, but it also doesn't cost over $1,000. It packs a gorgeous 6.6-inch display, Samsung's Exynos 1380 processor, a 50 MP wide-angle camera with optical image stabilization, and a long-lasting 5,000mAh battery that supports fast charging. It's not the most impressive phone on the market, but on sale for [under $300], it's a pretty hard deal to beat." — Christina Buff, Mashable Shopping Contributor

Our pick: Soundcore Anker Life Q20 Hybrid Headphones (black) $39.90 at Amazon"Noise-cancelling headphones can easily cost a couple hundred bucks, even on sale. When I tested noise-cancelling headphones to determine which were the best for travel, I found that the Anker Soundcore Life Q20 headphones already offered a pretty good value, even at their full price of $59.99 (and frequently discounted price of $49.99).
At nearly $40 flat, these are a steal. I was able to wear them comfortably for long periods of time, and get plenty of battery life off a single charge. Their ANC can hiss a little, but it also does a pretty good job of blocking out atmospheric sounds, and for $40, you really can't complain." — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

Opens in a new window Credit: Yeti YETI Rambler (18 oz) $24.00 at Amazon"Have you ever heard the crash of a YETI Rambler as it connects with concrete as you drive down the street, blissfully unaware you left it on top of your car? I assure you, it's very loud. So loud, in fact, I expected my water bottle to be too damaged to use — I know a HydroFlask wouldn't have survived that fall. But when I circled back to collect my YETI from the middle of the road, the bottle had one small scratch, and one small dent, and two years later, is still perfectly usable. What I'm saying is, if you want a water bottle that's built to last, a YETI Rambler is a pretty good bet." — Bethany Allard, Lead Shopping Reporter

Best Buy is typically a much bigger threat than Amazon when it comes to laptop deals, including gaming ones. But during any Prime event, like Prime Big Deal Days (happening Oct. 8 and 9), there are definitely a few solid options to choose from. These include several Acer Nitro models and our favorite overall gaming laptop, the Alienware M16 R2, down to a new record-low price according to Amazon price history tracker Camelcamelcamel.

Note: All newly added deals are marked with a ✨, while deals with a 🔥 have dropped to an all-time low price. Deals with a strikeout were either sold out or expired at the time of writing.
Best October Prime Day gaming laptop deal Our pick: Acer Nitro 16 (AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $799.99 at Amazon"The Nitro 16 is a big-screened budget gaming laptop that's equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS CPU from early 2023, Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 graphics, a flashy RGB backlit keyboard, and a 165Hz display. Its measly 8GB of memory is a drawback, but that's totally workable if you only plan on playing lower-end games like Fortnite and Minecraft. (Otherwise, you can put your savings towards a memory upgrade.)" — Haley Henschel, Senior Shopping Reporter

Save $60: By opting for refurbished Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, you can grab them for just $239 instead of the $299 they'd be brand new. This price isn't Prime Day-specific, but for anyone who was hoping to see these glasses go on sale during Prime Day, it's the best "deal" you can get.

Compared to the $299 list price of the glasses, refurbished Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses start at $239. Though they're not technically on sale, nor at a price unique to Prime Day, it is a way to grab the glasses for slightly cheaper.
For those unfamiliar, these smart glasses are designed to be a stylish wearable that gives you easy access to a camera, texts, calls, music, and an AI assistant without ever having to use your phone. When she tested them after their release, Mashable tech editor Kim Gedeon was impressed by their sound quality and general hands-free experience.
SEE ALSO: Ray-Ban Meta Glasses can be used to dox strangers via facial recognition, according to Harvard students. Prime Big Deal Days, which everyone is calling October Prime Day, ends at midnight PT on Oct. 9. And in the waning hours of the sale, we're counting down the best Prime Day deals on hard drives. Why hard drives?
See, you can always count on certain Prime Day deals to come back again and again. Echo devices and Roombas are always going to go on sale. Then you have niche products like Tushy bidets. However, there's another category you might not expect: memory products. We're talking about external hard drives, SD cards, and SSDs, all of which see huge discounts during events like Prime Day and Black Friday.
Smart shoppers know that to make the most of these sales, you sometimes have to skip over the trendy new products. It's often better to stock up on household staples and necessities for work. Thus, hard drives.

X, the Elon Musk-owned platform formerly known as Twitter, is making big changes to its Creator Revenue Sharing Program.
On Wednesday, the social media company announced that it would now start paying monetized creators on X based on engagement from X Premium users. The change will go into effect November 8, according to an X Help Center document.
SEE ALSO: Elon Musk's weirdest weekend, explainedX Premium users are those who pay for X's paid subscription service, which starts at $8 per month. Users can tell if an account is subscribed to X Premium as subscribed accounts have the verified blue checkmark badge next to their username.
Tweet may have been deletedUnder the previous monetization system, monetized users on X were paid based on how many ads were served to X Premium users in the replies to their content.
With the new monetization system, X Premium users continue to be the only monetizable audience. However, the number of ads they view no longer has any relevance. In fact, users can now get paid for content that lacks advertisements entirely.
Revenue will be dependent on how many X Premium users reply to, repost, and like a user's content.
What these changes to the X Creator Revenue Sharing Program meanAccording to X, monetized users should see higher payouts as a result of the change
The company claims that X Premium, which has long struggled to gain subscribers since its inception shortly after Musk took over the company, is growing.
"The more Premium subscriptions overall, the more revenue you earn," the company said in a post from the official X account.
It appears with this change, X is trying to put focus on growing revenue via X Premium subscriptions instead of through its dwindling advertising sales. X previously reported that its revenue fell by nearly 40 percent due to advertisers fleeing the company.
However, this monetization change will likely bring a change to the culture of the platform too. Since X launched its monetization program, X has already seen changes to the platform as users have noticed many monetized accounts often post controversial content simply to cause outrage. This sort of clickbait brings many eyeballs to the content – and the advertising on it. This would lead to large payouts for these creators.
But previously, X didn't monetize certain types of content that were deemed unfriendly to advertisers, such as pornography and depictions of violence. Now that ads will have no bearing on creator monetization revenue, it could be "anything goes" for the type of clickbait that flourishes on X.

Sure, Tesla's Cybertruck looks something a person using hallucinogens might imagine. But a police department in California is actually counting on it to keep kids off drugs — imagine that.
Irvine, a city of some 300,000 in Orange County, purchased a tricked-out Cybertruck for its police department. After the installation of emergency equipment, it ran the department a cool $153,175.03, NBC News reported.
SEE ALSO: Elon Musk's weirdest weekend, explainedIf you ever find yourself in Irvine, don't worry about the Cybertruck pulling you over, however. The police department said it will mostly be used for its Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program.
Wrote the Irvine Police Department on Facebook:
"The Irvine Police Department (IPD) is excited to unveil what we believe is the first police Tesla Cybertruck in the nation. The truck will support our Drug Abuse Resistance Education (DARE) program and community outreach efforts. While the fully equipped vehicle won't be used as a patrol car, it can respond to emergencies and assist the community when needed. For over three decades, our DARE officers have driven attention-grabbing and one-of-a-kind vehicles that never fail to turn heads and excite students. IPD believes in the continual education of students and is one of only two DARE programs in the entire state."
The department also put out a flashy video showing off their new toy, complete with lightning bolt visual effects.
Tweet may have been deletedIt's certainly...a choice...to purchase a Cybertruck for your DARE program. The Minecraft-esque truck has nearly too many recalls to count. It also has the potential to cut off your finger or simply fall apart.
The CEO of the company that makes it has apparently caused multiple crises within his company relating to his own alleged drug use. But apparently a DARE Cybertruck might help keep kids from abusing drugs themselves.
As Mashable's shopping reporter on the beauty tech beat, I've made it no secret that I think the Dyson Airwrap — versatile multi-styler though it may be — is overpriced. While nine times out of ten I recommend opting for an Airwrap alternative, a good Airwrap deal does change things, and for Prime Day, Amazon has delivered exactly that.
SEE ALSO: Get $100 off the Dyson Airwrap, plus other top October Prime Day Dyson dealsDuring October Prime Day, the Dyson Airwrap Complete Long has fallen to a $499.99 price tag, which is $100 less, or a 17% savings on its list price of $599.99. This deal is only available on the version for straight and wavy hair (so no diffuser or wide tooth comb), and at the time of writing, is the only deal available from any retailer on a new Airwrap. It's also the second lowest price we've ever seen on this tool, only beat by the record-low price of $479.99.
SEE ALSO: Get the Dyson Supersonic Origin hair dryer for $100 offIncluded with the Complete Long is a round brush, a Coanda smoothing dryer, a firm smoothing brush, a soft smoothing brush, and 1.2-inch and 1.6-inch curling barrels. The last two attachments are what made the Airwrap go viral, and admittedly, they are the most fun to use. Unlike every Airwrap dupe out there, these barrels can change curl direction with the rotating cool tip that sits at the top of them. While I had trouble getting the curls to last, this Airwrap does excel at producing shiny, voluminous waves.
Dyson Airwrap Complete Long for straight and wavy hair $499.99 at AmazonIf you're looking to get the Airwrap at the lowest possible price point, this Amazon deal isn't actually your only option. The exact same Airwrap is available, but refurbished, at Best Buy for $399.99, knocking $200 off the full price of a new Airwrap.

Though you will have to switch curling barrels to switch your curl direction, I really enjoyed the Shark diffuser for my waves, and found that the twisting mechanism on the base allowed for precise styling with that attachment.

Opens in a new window Credit: Amazon / Ninja Ninja Creami $159.99 at AmazonThe Ninja Creami is currently on sale for 20% off during Amazon Prime Day, dropping its price from $199 to $159. If you've been waiting to try your hand at homemade ice cream, now’s your chance to snag this popular kitchen gadget at a discount.
SEE ALSO: 35+ kitchen deals to shop this October Prime Day: Ninja Foodi, Instant Pot, Vitamix, and moreDescribed by Mashable Shopping Reporter Samantha Mangino as "fun to use" and perfect for anyone who loves planning their weekly pints, the Ninja Creami brings the adventure of ice cream-making right into your kitchen. With it, you can experiment with different flavors, catering to dietary preferences or restrictions.
However, if you're expecting the rich, creamy texture of premium store-bought ice cream, the Creami may not quite hit the mark. While it’s a delightful experience for ice cream enthusiasts, it doesn't deliver the same velvety results or complex mix-ins you’d find in a pint of Ben & Jerry’s.
At its original price, it’s equivalent to "about 29 pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream," so it’ll take a while to recoup the cost. But for those who make several pints a week and love customizing their treats, it could be worth the investment. At $159, it's an appealing deal for anyone ready to turn their kitchen into a mini ice cream shop this Prime Day.
Like many people, I picked up a new hobby in 2020. I bought a pie-making kit from a local pie shop, and since then, my fridge has been full of butter sticks. I make my own birthday cake every year and a cake for all my friends’ important life events. I pray for bananas to turn brown so I can mush them up into some chocolate chip banana bread. And I can’t let a summer go by without whipping up a strawberry-blueberry pie.

LIVE BLOG: The latest news on October Prime Day 2024
If you’re an amateur baker just getting started or you have plenty of experience but just need some upgrades to your kitchen tools, Amazon’s Prime Day is a great time to stock up on baking needs. Below are some of the best deals on products I’d actually recommend adding to your kitchen.
Best stand mixer deal Opens in a new window Credit: KitchenAid KitchenAid Artisan series 5-quart tilt head stand mixer $349.95 at AmazonI was strictly using a hand mixer up until last month when I acquired my grandma's old KitchenAid stand mixer. So far, I've only made a batch of pumpkin bread in it, but I can already tell you I'm not going back to manual mixing. You could cheap out and opt for a more budget-friendly brand, but I've tried non-KitchenAid stand mixers and this is one area I'll tell you is worth the splurge. The Artisan series 5-quart tilt-head mixer is down to $349.95 during Prime Big Deal Days, which is a $100 price cut. The smaller 3.5-quart Artisan Mini is on sale for $249.99.
There are tons of fun colors to choose from, and I've got my eye on the lavender cream one if I ever need to upgrade.
Best hand mixer deal Opens in a new window Credit: Hamilton Beach Hamilton Beach Professional five-speed hand mixer $28.49 at AmazonI personally use the Hamilton Beach mixer with the easy-clean beaters, but if you want a professional-grade hand mixer, this Prime Day deal is a good one to snag. I know I just said I'm not going back to manual mixing, but a hand mixer really is an invaluable tool to have in your kitchen. It's much cheaper than a KitchenAid stand mixer and is super versatile to aid in making cookie dough, cake batter, whipped cream, mashed potatoes, or even shredding chicken.
Best bakeware deal Opens in a new window Credit: Amazon Basics Amazon Basics six-piece carbon steel bakeware $13.89 at AmazonA pan or sheet is arguably the most important baking tool you need — I mean, without it you just have a bowl of batter or dough. This six-piece set of Amazon Basics bakeware is super cheap for what you get. But hurry, because this lightning deal might sell out. The set includes a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan, two round 9-inch cake pans, a 12-cup muffin pan, a 13 x 9-inch roast pan, and a 13 x 9-inch baking sheet. This is truly everything you need to get started in the kitchen.
Best food scale deal Opens in a new window Credit: Etekcity Etekcity food kitchen scale $9.99 at AmazonI'm definitely guilty of just trusting my measuring cups, but hardcore bakers will tell you a food scale is absolutely necessary to get the best bakes. I bought a dinky little pink food scale from a random brand on Amazon and the battery life was abysmal. Don't be like me. Instead, go with the trusted brand Etekcity and score the stainless steel scale for 29% off.
