The Houston Cougars are back in action following a game earlier this week against the Utah Utes. Next up in college basketball they face the struggling Kansas State Wildcats. This looks like another straightforward game for the Cougars, who are flying high in both the Big 12 and the national rankings.

Opens in a new window Credit: ExpressVPN ExpressVPN (1-Month Plan) $12.95 at ExpressVPN (with money-back guarantee) Get DealCrime 101 was easily one of my most anticipated 2026 movie releases because of one name. And it wasn't Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Halle Berry, Barry Keoghan, or Corey Hawkins (though they all star). I'm talking about writer/director Bart Layton. This English filmmaker made two mind-bending true crime films back to back that not only shaped the way I look at the genre, but the way I look at the world.
SEE ALSO: 2026 movie preview: All the films you need to know about right nowThe first was the 2012 documentary The Imposter, which told the stranger-than-fiction story of a French con artist who stole the identity of a long-lost Texas teenager, fooling authorities and the boy's family for an alarming span of time. There, Layton interviewed both the family and the con man, exposing conflicting stories and urging the audience to find the truth for themselves.
Then came 2018's American Animals.
Blending documentary and narrative drama, Layton unfurled the bizarre story of four college students who tried their hand at a heist inspired by their favorite movies. Layton cast dynamic actors like Keoghan and Evan Peters to play these wannabe Reservoir Dogs. He also worked with the real-life thieves, both in talking-head interviews and by interjecting them next to their fictional counterparts, breaking the fourth wall to reflect on their memories and emotions in moments from their lives as portrayed onscreen.
Both films present charismatic criminals whose charms are impossible to ignore. Then, both films complicate the audiences' feelings for these rogues by capturing the devastation left in their wake. So, though I'd never read the Don Winslow novella on which Crime 101 is built, I was champing at the bit to see what Layton would do next. What he's done is craft a competent crime thriller, shining with star power and splashy big-budget action sequences. But there's something missing.
Crime 101 is a tale of a thief on a crime spree. Credit: Merrick Morton / Amazon MGM StudiosHemsworth stars as a modern bandit who pulls off a string of heists along Los Angeles' 101 freeway. His crimes are meticulously researched, finding the weak point in deliveries of diamonds and cash. He leaves behind no clues to his identity (thanks to a mask and colored contacts), and he's committed to leaving no victims physically injured. With so many thefts in L.A., most cops don't see the connection between his crimes. But for LAPD Detective Lou Lubesnick (Ruffalo), the pattern is clear.
Rather than focusing solely on the cat-and-mouse game between the thief, named Mike, and the detective, Crime 101 bounces from each of their arcs — which respectively include a new girlfriend and a gutting divorce — as well as two other figures who get pulled into the thief's plans.
The first is Sharon Colvin (Berry), a 53-year-old insurance broker who's hitting the glass ceiling at her posh but bro-y office. Sure, when this dashing thief suggests he give her intel in exchange for a life-changing cut of the loot, she's initially dismissive. But soon enough, they're in cahoots. And they're being watched. Keoghan — who, between American Animals, Saltburn, and The Killing of a Sacred Deer, has been upping his intimidation game — plays a hotheaded young thief called Ormon, sporting bleach-blond hair as he rides a cacophonic motorcycle.
With a big payday in sight, Crime 101 follows each thread to a dramatic conclusion that's likely to please thriller fans. Perhaps I'm greedy for wanting — or expecting — something more.
MCU stars Chris Hemsworth and Mark Ruffalo reunite for a very different onscreen dynamic. Corey Hawkins and Mark Ruffalo in "Crime 101." Credit: Merrick Morton / Amazon MGMWe've seen them play the Avengers, Thor and Hulk — Hemsworth a swaggering blind god, Ruffalo a passionate yet easily flustered scientist. Here, the American actor is more the crumpled but earnest cop from David Fincher's Zodiac, but minus the self confidence. Lou has the demeanor of a kicked street dog: guarded, alert, but hopeful for a change of fortune. Left by his wife and disrespected by his peers, who think his 101 bandit theory is bonkers, Lou needs this collar, not just to save his job but to resecure his faith in himself.
Don’t miss out on our latest stories: Add Mashable as a trusted news source in Google.
In sharp contrast, Hemsworth surrenders the megawatt smile, the theatrical bravado, and the himbo comedy prowess he's shown as Thor. Instead, Mike is more in line with his role in Michael Mann's Blackhat. Stoic and subdued, Mike has a hint of social awkwardness, because he's always masking to some degree to protect himself. Intellectually, this is an interesting contrast, especially to Berry's emotional broker and Keoghan's impulsive punk. However, this muted performance means Mike comes across pretty flat onscreen. But Layton doesn't offer another dynamically charming rogue to toy with our heads and hearts. He offers a sullen hunk with a tragic backstory that gives context for his criminal path. And then he offers a chaos goblin.
Barry Keoghan is perfectly cast in Crime 101. Credit: Dean Rogers / Amazon MGM StudiosThe difference between Mike and Ormon is the difference between a gentleman pirate and a time bomb. One uses a code of conduct to attempt to lessen the negative impact of his crimes; the other is a disaster waiting to happen. Where Hemsworth has the broad shoulders, height, and strong jaw of a standard Hollywood leading man, Keoghan has a mug that oozes with snarls, snarks, and spit as his Ormon unleashes on frightened bank tellers, quivering customers, and even a crying baby.
Their contrast follows the thread of Layton's past explorations of the allure of the criminal. One, played by Hemsworth, is the fantasy, a thief who is handsome, smart, non-violent, and only robs from the rich (or the well-insured). Keoghan is the nightmare, a mercurial smash-and-grab robber who counts violence as a necessary tool, and has no qualms about who he harms or how. However, this contrast sets Mike up as an almost Robin Hood-like figure, minimizing the harm he's done by suggesting it could be worse. He could be Ormon.
Undoubtedly, Crime 101 is a slick and successful crime thriller. Layton has cleverly cast big names who do well with their roles. The twists of the story are enough to keep audiences on their toes. The car chases are stellar stuff, recalling the cramped intensity of The Bourne Identity over the glossy, gonzo action of Fast and Furious movies. There's a slow-burning sex appeal between various stars, though centered around Berry. Layton's painting of L.A. is rich in neon lights against dark nights, evoking a sense of danger even in mellower sequences. But rather than feeling like Layton is upping his game, bringing bigger names to his unique brand of nuanced and enthralling storytelling, Crime 101 feels like he's showing Hollywood he knows how to play by their rules. The movie works fine, but it doesn't hit as hard or linger in my mind the way The Imposter and American Animals did. I'm hopeful next time, Layton won't play nice.
I test new robot vacuums on a regular basis and compare them to the top performers from previous months, with all my evaluations taking place in my own home on various rugs, tile, and hardwood floors. As I test each robot vacuum and tweak its settings for optimal performance, I keep notes on its overall suction power and scrubbing efficacy (if it's a robot vacuum and mop combo), pet hair pickup, the convenience of its automatic emptying and self-washing mopping pads, accuracy of smart mapping and small obstacle avoidance, and the overall user experience. But the final boss here is cost efficiency — I'll be the first one to point out when a cheap robot vacuum actually works well for the price, or when a high-end robot vacuum is actually worth the splurge or not.
SEE ALSO: The Shark vs. Roomba debate is old news. Here's how both robot vacuum brands got dethroned. Recent changes to this guideJanuary 2026: I added the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete as the best robot vacuum right now and shifted the Aqua10 Ultra to the best roller mop robot vacuum. The Roborock Saros 10R, which was listed as the best option for corner cleaning, has been removed from the list. It costs nearly the same amount as the X60 Max Ultra Complete, which has near-identical corner mopping abilities and much stronger suction power.
December 2025: I added a disclaimer to the pick for best Roomba value in light of iRobot's bankruptcy news.
October 2025: I added the Dreame Aqua10 Ultra Roller as the best robot vacuum right now and shifted the Roborock Saros 10R (previously named the best robot vacuum right now) to the option for best corner cleaning.
July 2025: I removed the Shark Matrix Plus 2-in-1 robot vacuum from this guide. While it was a solid budget mopping robot vacuum for its first year or so on the market, it's now a little bit too basic compared to other newer budget robot vacuums.
Other robot vacuums I've tested recentlyI tested several other top robot vacuums in the past that didn't make the most recent cut for this list. Some, like the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra, Roborock Qrevo Master, Narwal Freo X Ultra, and various versions of the Roomba j7 were my top recommendations at one point, but have since been overshadowed by newer, more powerful models that are a better bang for your buck.
I've also tested some 2025 robot vacuum releases that were OK, but ultimately aren't a top pick for me. The Dreame X50 Ultra grabbed attention during its CES 2025 debut for its ability to "climb," though the fine print is that it can't scale thresholds taller than 6 millimeters (about 2.36 inches). A slew of new Dreame robot vacuums are slated to come out in fall 2025, among them a model with improved climbing abilities and a model whose self-empty dock can hold three sets of mopping pads. I'll be getting my hands on these as soon as possible and updating my top picks for this list accordingly.
New robot vacuums announced at CES 2026Several top robot vacuum brands unveiled new flagship models at CES in early January. These include the Roborock Saros 20 Sonic and Qrevo Curv 2 Flow, the Dreame X60 Max Ultra Complete, and the Narwal Flow 2. I'm in the process of testing these at home and will update this guide accordingly as each are officially released to the public.
Happy endings are nice and all, but even the most idealistic among us know they don't always last. Sometimes, the happy ending is just the start of a larger story that ends with someone weeping into a pint of ice cream alone on the couch, flipping channels in search of something to mend a broken heart, or at least distract from the pain for a bit.
In other words, sometimes what you need is not a love story but a breakup movie. We've compiled 31 of the best breakup movies to help you process your sadness, exorcise your rage, or encourage you to dust yourself back up and move the hell on.
Here are the 31 best breakup movies streaming and where to watch them.
1. Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless MindThey say it's better to have loved and lost, but try telling that to someone still smarting from a breakup. This trippy love story follows Joel (Jim Carrey) as he tries to wipe his ex (Kate Winslet) from his mind, only to wonder if some of those memories may be worth keeping after all.
How to watch: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is streaming on Disney+, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
2. Marriage Story Credit: NetflixA clean break may be ideal, but it isn't always an option. In Marriage Story, Charlie (Adam Driver) and Nicole (Scarlett Johansson) suffer through an ugly custody battle — and come out the other side with a new sort of relationship, one based not on sex and romance but shared parenthood.
How to watch: Marriage Story is streaming on Netflix.
3. High FidelityHigh Fidelity is the breakup movie you turn to when you've just had your heart crushed, and you've got a sneaking suspicion that at least some of it might have been your fault. But if Rob (John Cusack) can learn to grow up a little, maybe you can, too.
How to watch: High Fidelity is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
4. Forgetting Sarah MarshallThis film is nothing if not a promise that it'll get better. Sure, it sucks to lose your S.O., especially when she's a famous TV star whose face is plastered all over the place. But who's to say you can't rebound with an even cooler girlfriend to love, like Forgetting Sarah Marshall's Mila Kunis?
How to watch: Forgetting Sarah Marshall is streaming on Hulu and STARZ, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.

5. MidsommarBecause some breakups call for something a bit more dramatic than the usual sobfest. Some breakups come at the end of a relationship so grandly shitty, you need to travel to rural Sweden for a once-in-a-lifetime festival put on by an obscure death cult in order to really get your point across.
How to watch: Midsommar is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
6. Waiting to Exhale Credit: Randee St Nicholas / 20th Century Fox / Kobal / ShutterstockWaiting to Exhale combines the visceral satisfaction of setting a cheating ex's car on fire with the comforting reassurance of close-knit friendship, and serves as a gentle reminder that better things lie ahead after all the pain and suffering.
How to watch: Waiting to Exhale is streaming on Disney+ and Hulu, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
7. Celeste and Jesse ForeverIt's a sad truth that two people can like each other very much, and still not be meant to love each other. Rashida Jones and Andy Samberg play a pair of high-school sweethearts who remain best friends after seven years of marriage, but feel the need to move on from each other romantically.

9. The SouvenirThe Souvenir is an exquisite portrait of the doomed relationship between naive Julie (Honor Swinton Byrne) and the mysterious Anthony (Tom Burke), acknowledging both how difficult it can be to disentangle from a toxic relationship, and the bruises it can leave behind.
How to watch: The Souvenir is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
10. Blue ValentineWatching Blue Valentine while in the throes of heartbreak is like pressing down on a bruise — the pain is what makes it so satisfying. The film cuts between the tender start of Dean (Ryan Gosling) and Cindy's (Michelle Williams) romance and its jagged end, to tearjerking effect.
How to watch: Blue Valentine is streaming on Tubi, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV.
11. CasablancaFew of us get goodbyes to love as epically romantic as the one between Rick (Humphrey Bogart) and Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman). But wouldn't it be nice to imagine we did? They'll always have Paris, and we'll always have Casablanca to weep over when we're at our most tragically brokenhearted.
How to watch: Casablanca is streaming on Hulu and HBO Max, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
12. Gone Girl Credit: Merrick Morton / 20th Century Fox / Regency / Kobal / ShutterstockGone Girl is about a disappearance, not a breakup — but it does have plenty to say about the hazards of modern marriage. Watch how Nick (Ben Affleck) and Amy (Rosamund Pike) went from meet-cute to fairy-tale courtship to ... well, you'll see ... and you may decide you're better off single.
How to watch: Gone Girl is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
13. (500) Days of SummerLet Tom (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) serve as a warning against looking back at past relationships with rose-colored glasses. It's only when he starts to see Summer (Zooey Deschanel) with clearer eyes that he's able to understand what went wrong, and move on to the next stage of his life.
How to watch: (500) Days of Summer is streaming on Hulu and Disney+, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
14. Crazy, Stupid, LoveCrazy, Stupid, Love puts more than one of its characters through heartbreak, but its star-studded cast reminds you through swoonworthy smooches, grand romantic gestures, and one hilarious brawl that the right one is worth fighting for. (Just try to ignore the outdated gender roles.)
How to watch: Crazy, Stupid, Love is streaming on Netflix, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
15. Appropriate BehaviorAnyone who's tried to remedy a broken heart with petty confrontations and ill-advised hookups will recognize themselves in Shirin (Desiree Akhavan, who also wrote and directed) and her halfhearted attempts to get her life back together after she's dumped by her girlfriend (Rebecca Henderson).

How to watch: Swingers is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
17. CloserHere's a movie for those dark days when you find yourself wondering if love even exists, or if it's just a cruel joke designed to destroy peoples' lives. Clive Owen, Julia Roberts, Jude Law, and Natalie Portman play four people who can't stop cheating on each other, with bitter results.

How to watch: Legally Blonde is streaming on MGM+, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
19. The Wedding SingerBreakups are never fun, but it can be a consolation to remember that sometimes, they're for the best. 21. Call Me By Your Name Credit: Moviestore / ShutterstockMost of the movie is about Elio (Timothée Chalamet) and Oliver (Armie Hammer) getting together, not splitting apart, but hanging over their entire romance is the poignant knowledge that it can't last forever. How to watch: Call Me By Your Name is streaming on Paramount+, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.

23. Birds of Prey Credit: C Barius / DC / Warner Bros / Kobal / ShutterstockIt's not easy striking out alone after an explosive breakup — but Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) serves as a reminder that all things are possible with a can-do attitude, some rad new friends, and a really, really good egg sandwich.
How to watch: Birds of Prey is streaming on Hulu and HBO Max, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
24. The War of the RosesOliver (Michael Douglas) and Barbara (Kathleen Turner) duke it out for the house in this acerbically funny divorce comedy, and along the way serve up a cautionary tale about taking that understandable impulse to "win" the breakup way, way, way too far.
(There's also the recent remake with Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman, The Roses, which Entertainment Editor Kristy Puchko was mixed on. But if you're curious, you can stream it on Hulu and Disney+, or rent or purchase it on Prime Video and Apple TV.)

How to watch: Scott Pilgrim vs. The World is streaming on Hulu and Disney+, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
26. Kill Bill Credit: A Band Apart / Miramax / Kobal / ShutterstockKill Bill is for when you're in a post-breakup rage so potent, nothing but (cinematic) violence and bloodshed will do. Vol. 1 is the more action-packed of the two, to help you work out that anger, while Vol. 2 goes deeper into the feels — albeit still with plenty of super cool kills.
How to watch: Kill Bill, Vol. 1 is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video. Kill Bill, Vol. 2 is also available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
27. Force MajeureBeing single can suck, but being coupled isn't always what it's cracked up to be, either. In Force Majeure, awkward fissures form in a marriage after a man makes a questionable decision in a moment of crisis. (If you hate subtitles, Downhill is the less-good English-language remake.)
How to watch: Force Majeure is streaming on Hulu, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
28. The First Wives ClubPerhaps the only thing more gratifying than watching a shitty ex get what's coming to him is watching three shitty exes get what's coming to them, served up with a smirk by the powerhouse trio of Goldie Hawn, Bette Midler, and Diane Keaton.
How to watch: The First Wives Club is streaming on Hulu, Paramount+, and Peacock, and is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
29. Magic Mike XXL Credit: Warner Bros / Kobal / ShutterstockMagic Mike XXL is only kind of a breakup movie (Mike gets dumped very early in the film), but it does do a great job of celebrating one of the upsides of a breakup: the freedom to join your bros on an epic road trip of sexual pleasure and self-discovery.
How to watch: Magic Mike XXL is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.
30. HerSpike Jonze's Her is probably best saved for that post-heartbreak period of self-reflection. Joaquin Phoenix plays an about-to-be-divorced man who starts dating what is essentially a more advanced Siri (Scarlett Johansson), but finds that his new relationship has complications, too.
How to watch: Her is available to buy or rent on Apple TV and Prime Video.

Ring and surveillance company Flock Safety have cancelled their partnership, which planned to make it easier for police to access footage from users' personal cameras. This comes less than a week after Ring's widely criticised Super Bowl ad drew further attention to the concerning privacy implications of its home security system.
SEE ALSO: Why so many people hate Ring's 'Search Party' Super Bowl ad"Following a comprehensive review, we determined the planned Flock Safety integration would require significantly more time and resources than anticipated," Ring wrote in a blog post on Thursday. "As a result, we have made the joint decision to cancel the planned integration. The integration never launched, so no Ring customer videos were ever sent to Flock Safety."
Though Ring states that resource issues are to blame for the partnership's cancellation, its collaboration with Flock Safety has been the subject of significant criticism regarding privacy and surveillance concerns. Distrust toward the Amazon-owned surveillance camera company has escalated, with users reportedly disconnecting, destroying, or returning their Ring devices. Some have also specifically cited Flock Safety's use by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
News of the partnership's cancellation closely follows Ring's poorly received Super Bowl ad, which promoted its AI-powered Search Party feature. Advertised as a tool for finding lost pets, Search Party allows people to upload a photo of their dog so that Ring can search their neighbours' camera footage for the animal using AI detection.
Concerned viewers quickly pointed out that this technology could very easily be used to track humans as well. Ring introduced facial recognition to its devices late last year, the Electronic Frontier Foundation stating that the feature could potentially violate people's right to privacy.
Why Ring and Flock Safety's partnership raised privacy concernsAnnounced last October, Ring and Flock Safety's partnership was promoted as a tool for users to "help solve crime in [their] community." Police would be able to request Ring camera video directly from users, which Flock Safety would send straight to them once approved. Flock Safety has stated that it is partnered with over 5,000 law enforcement agencies.
"When local public safety officers are investigating an active case, local officers using Flock Safety's technology can now post a request directly in the Ring Neighbors app asking for help," Flock wrote in a blog post at the time. "If you decide to share, Flock's system securely delivers your video directly to the public safety agency handling the case."
The planned partnership was met by backlash when initially unveiled, with critics noting that the Flock Safety's services and data have been used by agencies such as the U.S. Customs Border Protection (CBP) and ICE. 404 Media reported last May that while Flock was not in direct contact with ICE, the agency still accessed its services and data via requests from local law enforcement.
Flock has since confirmed this, stating that though it does not have a direct partnership with ICE, the agency can still access it through a "local customer." The company has also admitted to working directly with CBP.
Further, Ring has had a historically close relationship with law enforcement as well. A 2019 report from Motherboard revealed that Ring had secret deals with dozens of U.S. police departments, providing free products and a private portal for requesting footage without a warrant. In exchange, law enforcement officers agreed to promote Ring to their local community.
As of 2020, 2,014 government agencies were able to access Ring's camera surveillance network via its Neighbors Portal program. Agencies submitted Ring footage requests for over 22,335 incidents that year, over half of which were approved. Then in 2022, Amazon admitted that it had sent Ring camera footage to the police without users' knowledge or consent.
Ring did axe its Request for Assistance feature in 2024, which had allowed police to request camera footage from users and kept a public record of it (though private requests could still be made). However, it returned to its focus on providing law enforcement with users' videos last year, allowing police to request footage via taser-maker Axon's evidence management system.
The original God of War trilogy is getting a remake over 15 years after it ended. Developer Santa Monica Studio announced the project on Thursday during PlayStation's State of Play showcase.
Very little has been revealed about the God of War remake aside from its existence. However, it does appear as though original voice actor Terrence C. Carson is returning for the game. Carson voiced protagonist Kratos in the original God of War trilogy, and appeared during the remake announcement.
SEE ALSO: PlayStation State of Play February 2026: How to watch, top games we hope to see"This project is still in the early stages, so it'll be a minute before we get back to share another update," said Carson. "But I'm telling you, I'm telling you, next time we come back, we coming with something big, baby."
Last year marked the 20th anniversary of the God of War franchise, with God of War first released for the PlayStation 2 in 2005. The game followed Kratos, a Spartan warrior who served the Greek pantheon, as he embarked on a revenge quest to kill the titular god Ares. The subsequent two games also kept Kratos on a mission of revenge, turning his blades toward the king of the gods Zeus.
All three titles in the God of War trilogy were well-received at the time of their release, widely praised for their brutal, fluid combat. However, other aspects of the games have not aged quite as well, having treated women as sexual objects to be bedded in minigames and then discarded. In one infamous incident in God of War III, Kratos used an enslaved, half-naked woman as a literal object to solve a puzzle, leaving her screaming as she was crushed to death.
It's currently unclear how the God of War remake might tackle such issues, particularly as the original games are well-known for their highly sexualised depiction of women. The series successfully retooled its approach more recently in a soft reboot, which delivered satisfyingly powerful combat alongside a markedly more mature, evolved, and nuanced approach to both women and masculinity. Even so, 2018's God of War and its follow-up God of War Ragnarök had the benefit of being able to tell new stories, rather than remaking games that fans are already familiar with.
The remake wasn't the only God of War news to drop during Thursday's State of Play, with PlayStation also giving a surprise announcement and release of new 2D action platformer God of War Sons of Sparta.
Developed by Mega Cat Studios with writers from Santa Monica Studio, Sons of Sparta is a prequel to the God of War series, and follows a young Kratos who's still in training alongside his brother. The side-scrolling game features retro-style pixel graphics with Carson narrating as Kratos, reprising the role for the first time since God of War: Ascension in 2013. (Christopher Judge voiced Kratos in the 2018 reboot and its sequel.)
God of War Sons of Sparta is available now for $29.99 on PlayStation 5.
A medical issue at the International Space Station in January required a swift, premature return of four astronauts, leaving just one American in space for the past month.
That will change when the Crew-12 astronauts launch as early as Friday morning from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The crew — NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Sophie Adenot — along with European Space Agency astronaut Jack Hathaway and cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev, will join Chris Williams, who arrived at the station on a Russian Soyuz spacecraft in November 2025.
Members of Crew-11 — Zena Cardman, Mike Fincke, Japan’s Kimiya Yui, and Russia’s Oleg Platonov — splashed down off the coast of San Diego, California, on Jan. 15. NASA did not disclose which of the astronauts had a medical issue or what the problem was, citing medical privacy concerns. All four seemed well as they participated in a news conference six days after their landing.
Though Williams was never entirely alone — cosmonauts Sergey Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev remained with him — the unprecedented medical evacuation highlights the importance of the staggered "seat swap" with Roscosmos, the Russian Space Agency. The arrangement guarantees at least one American and one Russian are always on board. The operational redundancy ensures personnel from both countries are available to maintain their respective modules orbiting 250 miles above Earth.

If the rocket lifts off as planned on Friday, Crew-12 will get to the space station at about 3:15 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14. Upon arrival, the crewmates will begin an eight-month stint aboard the orbiting laboratory.
Welcome to your guide to Pips, the latest game in the New York Times catalogue.
Released in August 2025, the Pips puts a unique spin on dominoes, creating a fun single-player experience that could become your next daily gaming habit.
Currently, if you're stuck, the game only offers to reveal the entire puzzle, forcing you to move onto the next difficulty level and start over. However, we have you covered! Below are piecemeal answers that will serve as hints so that you can find your way through each difficulty level.
How to play PipsIf you've ever played dominoes, you'll have a passing familiarity for how Pips is played. As we've shared in our previous hints stories for Pips, the tiles, like dominoes, are placed vertically or horizontally and connect with each other. The main difference between a traditional game of dominoes and Pips is the color-coded conditions you have to address. The touching tiles don't necessarily have to match.
SEE ALSO: Wordle today: Answer, hints for February 13, 2026The conditions you have to meet are specific to the color-coded spaces. For example, if it provides a single number, every side of a tile in that space must add up to the number provided. It is possible – and common – for only half a tile to be within a color-coded space.
Here are common examples you'll run into across the difficulty levels:
Number: All the pips in this space must add up to the number.
Equal: Every domino half in this space must be the same number of pips.
Not Equal: Every domino half in this space must have a completely different number of pips.
Less than: Every domino half in this space must add up to less than the number.
Greater than: Every domino half in this space must add up to more than the number.
If an area does not have any color coding, it means there are no conditions on the portions of dominoes within those spaces.

There are five rounds to the game. The first round sees you trying to guess the word, with correct, misplaced, and incorrect letters shown in each guess. If you guess the correct answer, it'll take you to the next hurdle, providing the answer to the last hurdle as your first guess. This can give you several clues or none, depending on the words. The Pitt audience, how are you feeling after Season 2, episode 6? If you're like me, your eyes are moist (if not streaming outright) after the show's emotional send-off to "frequent flyer" patient Louie (Ernest Harden Jr.)
SEE ALSO: Why 'The Pitt' feels more real than any other medical dramaLouie crashed at the end of Season 2, episode 5, before passing away early on in episode 6. His loss hangs over the entire installment, which ends with the staff of the Pitt holding a small memorial service for him. There, they share their memories of treating him, and Dr. Michael "Robby" Robinavitch (Noah Wyle) reveals information about Louie's life outside the trauma center.
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Louie was married to a woman named Ronda. She wanted kids, and even though Louie was reluctant at first, he became incredibly excited once she got pregnant. Just before her due date, Ronda and the baby died in a car crash. It's a heartbreaking revelation, one that offers a greater perspective on a sweet patient we knew little about beyond the walls of the Pitt, as well as a look at how much these patients touch caregivers' lives and vice versa.
The end of the scene is accompanied by a new song from Andrew Bird and series composer Gavin Brivik, titled "Need Someone." If you want to relive Louie's memorial scene, or just want an extra dose of emotional damage, courtesy of The Pitt, you can listen to it above.
New episodes of The Pitt Season 2 air Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on HBO Max.

There's a new iOS update, and along with the bug fixes and security enhancements, Apple has some new features for iPhone users as well.
iPhone users can now upgrade their mobile devices to iOS 26.3, though users need an iPhone 11 or later. Just go to Settings, then General, then tap Software Update on your iPhone.
So, what's new in iOS 26.3?
First up, Apple has created separate Wallpaper options for Astronomy and Weather on your iOS device. Along with that, Apple has released three pre-designed Weather wallpaper options for your lockscreen with different fonts and widget designs.
Limit Precise Location is a new feature in iOS 26.3 that focuses on user privacy. With Limit Precise Location turned on, iPhone users can reduce how precise their coordinates are when relaying that information to cellular networks. Apple says this means your iPhone would share a general neighborhood location instead of an exact street address.
Apple notes that Limit Precise Location only affects the information shared with cellular networks. Exact location data shared with Find My, with friends, or location sharing is not affected when Limit Precise Location is turned on.
While Limit Precise Location is being introduced with iOS 26.3, the feature is only available on iPhone Air, iPhone 16e, and iPad Pro M5 Wi-Fi + Cellular devices. Why? As our colleagues at PC Mag note, an iOS device with an Apple C1 or C1X modem is required for Limit Precise Location to work.
Finally, iOS 26.3 is giving users an easier time jumping from the iOS ecosystem with the new Transfer to Android feature. Located within the Settings app, Transfer to Android lets users wirelessly move photos, messages, apps, and other data to Android devices. Some information, like health data and previously connected accessories, will not transfer to Android through this feature. Still, being able to easily move your photos and conversations from an iPhone to an Android device is a welcomed new feature.
