Privacy is the main event here. AdGuard uses its own security protocol, designed to provide a faster and safer VPN connection, while its zero-logging policy means personal data isn’t collected and internet traffic remains private.
One subscription also works across up to 10 devices simultaneously. That’s useful when your digital life stretches beyond one laptop. AdGuard also includes light-speed servers for uninterrupted browsing, with access to servers in all available locations.
There are plenty of reasons someone might want a VPN, from keeping browsing activity private to connecting through another location. The smarter part of this particular setup is simply knowing what you’re paying for upfront.
Instead of adding another VPN payment to the monthly subscription pile, one purchase covers the next five years.

Opens in a new window Credit: Microsoft Microsoft Office Home & Business for Mac 2021: Lifetime License $79.97We have enough monthly bills. Microsoft Office doesn’t necessarily need to be another one. Microsoft Office Home & Business 2021 for Mac is just $79.97 (reg. $219) through Oct. 11 as part of the Deal Days sales event, and it’s a lifetime license rather than an ongoing subscription.
That means one purchase gets you the familiar Office apps you probably came here for: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and OneNote.
Word handles documents, Excel takes care of spreadsheets and complex data, and PowerPoint is there when someone inevitably asks you to “throw together a quick deck.” Outlook covers email and scheduling, while the bundle also includes Teams Basic and the free version of OneNote.
It’s a practical lineup for families, students, and small businesses, especially when the goal isn’t to find an elaborate new productivity system. Sometimes you just want the Office apps you already know how to use.
The lifetime license is designed for one Mac and can be used for Microsoft Office at home or work. Unlike a device-linked license, this licensing type connects to your Microsoft account rather than the Mac itself. It’s also a one-time-use code.
For Mac users who want the classic Microsoft Office lineup without another subscription, this is an easy win.

Late night TV is often at its best when it's at its weirdest, and watching Jon Stewart argue for five minutes with an animated version of Meta's Muse AI agent is a strong example.
In the clip above, the Daily Show host takes a deep dive into artificial intelligence, starting with Trump's recent summit and moving on to the question of whether or not AI will be the end of humanity.
Watching him attempt to voice the Muse AI while essentially arguing with himself is the highlight, though.

Opens in a new window Credit: Mammotion Mammotion Luba 3 AWD 3000H Robot Lawn Mower $2,109 at AmazonIf you want to take lawn care completely off your weekend to-do list, this massive price drop is worth acting on.
Amazon slashed $1,190 off the Mammotion Luba 3 AWD 3000 robot lawn mower, bringing it down to $2,109 — matching its best price ever. The Mammotion Luba 3 AWD 3000 replaces the old-school perimeter wires with a 360-degree LiDAR sensor, dual AI cameras, and network RTK GPS to map your yard down to the centimeter.
Its all-wheel-drive system and omni-wheels let it climb massive 80% inclines (about 39 degrees) and roll over 2-inch roots or curbs without getting stuck. You get twin cutting discs with 12 total blades, powered by two 165W motors that adjust speed on the fly based on grass thickness, and it pushes through a 0.75-acre yard for up to 175 minutes per charge.
SEE ALSO: Amazon is dropping huge deals on robot lawn mowers ahead of Prime Day: Shop Dreame, Mammotion, and moreIt identifies over 300 types of obstacles, supports 30 custom zones in the app, and ships with the mower, charging dock, extra blades, and a separate cleaning stand to hose off the bottom. Its four-wheel-drive grip won't tear up your grass when taking tight turns on steep hills, and you can program it to lay down custom patterns like checkerboard or diagonal stripes. Wire-free mowers that handle this kind of rough terrain usually creep way past $3,000, so knocking over $1,100 off a high-end unit makes automating your yard work a no-brainer.

Opens in a new window Credit: The Pokémon Company Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box $159.99 at AmazonAmazon’s $89.99 deal on the Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box sold out fast, but the retailer still offers one of the most reasonable routes to securing this high-demand set — if you're willing to join the waitlist.
The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box is currently listed at $159.99 on Amazon, with shipping and sale handled directly by the retailer. Because inventory remains extremely tight on Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon is routing orders through its "request invite" lottery system. Submitting an invite request reserves your spot in line to purchase the box at list price, without paying inflated secondary-market rates.
At $159.99, Amazon’s price sits close to TCGplayer’s market price. It's also considerably cheaper than Walmart, so even though it hurts to miss out on the $89.99 deal that Amazon was offering a couple of weeks ago, this is still a strong option for collectors.
The 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box is the premier display piece for this milestone expansion. Each ETB comes packed with nine 30th Celebration booster packs, an exclusive full-art foil Nidorina promo card, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, 65 custom card sleeves, damage-counter dice, a condition marker, card dividers, a collector’s player guide, and a code card for Pokémon TCG Live.

The Draconid meteor shower peaks this week, and skywatchers in the Northern Hemisphere won't need to stay up late to catch it.
The shower is active from Oct. 6 to 10. According to EarthSky, which cites predictions from the American Meteor Society, the peak is expected around 1 UTC on Oct. 9. That's 9 p.m. EDT on Thursday, Oct. 8. EarthSky recommends watching from nightfall on Oct. 8 into the early hours of Oct. 9.
Best time to see the DraconidsMost meteor showers are best after midnight, but the Draconids are an exception. Their radiant, the point in the sky where the meteors appear to originate, sits near the stars Eltanin and Rastaban in the head of the constellation Draco the Dragon. EarthSky notes that this radiant stands highest in the sky as darkness falls and sinks lower as the night goes on, so more meteors tend to appear in the evening.
SEE ALSO: Moon phase today: What the Moon will look like on October 6, 2026A viewing table for Chicago shows the radiant at about 75-76 degrees above the horizon at 6 p.m. on Oct. 8. By 1 a.m., it has dropped below 20 degrees.
How many meteors are expectedThe Draconids are usually a modest shower. Star Walk estimates about five meteors per hour at the peak under ideal conditions. EarthSky says observers under a dark sky might see up to 10. Star Walk also notes that Draconid meteors move unusually slowly, often leaving lingering streaks across the sky.
This year's conditions are favorable. The new moon falls on Oct. 10, so only a thin waning crescent will be in the sky, and it doesn't rise until shortly before dawn.
How to watch the Draconids meteor showerYou don't need a telescope or binoculars. Find a dark spot away from city lights, give your eyes 15 to 20 minutes to adjust, and lie back to take in as much of the sky as possible. Star Walk advises against staring directly at the radiant, because meteors close to it have shorter trails. Draconids can appear anywhere in the sky.
Viewers in the Southern Hemisphere will have a harder time. From those latitudes, Draco sits low and sets early, so EarthSky suggests looking as soon as it gets dark and keeping expectations low.
We're once again at the part of the lunar cycle where the Moon is almost completely out of view. This is the end stage of the lunar cycle, and when we approach the New Moon.
What is today's Moon phase? As of Tuesday, Oct. 6, NASA's Daily Moon Guide tracker tells us the Moon is in the Waning Crescent phase, with 21% of its surface visible.
Visibility is decreasing each night, but for now there is still a chance to spot the Aristarchus Plateau and the Kepler Crater without any visual aids. If you have binoculars or a telescope, you'll also see the Grimaldi Basin and the Gassendi Crater.
When is the next Full Moon? The next Full Moon will take place on October 25 or 26, depending on your timezone.
What are Moon phases? The Moon completes an orbit around Earth in roughly 29.5 days. During that time, its position changes relative to the Earth and Sun, altering how much of the Moon's illuminated surface is visible to us. This produces the familiar lunar phases, beginning with a thin crescent and progressing through the quarter phases before reaching a Full Moon. The sequence then repeats as the Moon continues its orbit. According to NASA, the phase visible from Earth is determined by the Moon's changing position in relation to both Earth and the Sun.
The eight phases are:
New Moon - The Moon is between Earth and the sun, so the side we see is dark (in other words, it's invisible to the eye).
Waxing Crescent - A small sliver of light appears on the right side (Northern Hemisphere).
First Quarter - Half of the Moon is lit on the right side. It looks like a half-Moon.
Waxing Gibbous - More than half is lit up, but it's not quite full yet.
Full Moon - The whole face of the Moon is illuminated and fully visible.
Waning Gibbous - The Moon starts losing light on the right side. (Northern Hemisphere)
Third Quarter (or Last Quarter) - Another half-Moon, but now the left side is lit.
Waning Crescent - A thin sliver of light remains on the left side before going dark again.

Another Amazon Prime Day is here. Prime Big Deal Days (aka "October Prime Day") runs Oct. 6 and 7, with competing festivities at Target and Walmart. Deals are underway, delivering major sales across all categories.
October Prime Day deals could be a chance to get some relief from the RAMageddon price hikes impacting the tech industry this year. For its part, Amazon increased the prices of nearly two dozen Kindles, Fire TV Sticks, Echo smart speakers, and eero routers this summer because of rising component costs. Seasonal sales like Prime Big Deal Days (and later Black Friday) could offset some of those markups.

If you've been patiently waiting for Kindle deals to drop, the wait is over. The Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition is my favorite e-reader, the one I use every day. With 32GB of storage, it has space for thousands of books. It also has an auto-adjusting front light and wireless charging. It's exceptionally fast, too, with smooth page turns and quick-loading books in my experience.
In August 2026, the e-reader's MSRP rose to $249.99 from its previous list price of $199.99. Now, the Paperwhite Signature Edition has dropped back down to $169.99. That's 32% off its new list price, a saving of $80 — or $30 compared with its old list price. I'd typically advise you to buy the standard Paperwhite, but right now, it's more expensive than the Signature Edition.
Plus, when you buy a new Kindle, check whether you're eligible for three free months of Kindle Unlimited with your purchase. Check the renewal terms before signing up.

Kindles aren't the only Amazon devices on sale: You'll also find deals on Amazon's Echos, Fire TVs, and tablets. Our favorite deal is on the Amazon Echo Dot, which is down to just $39.99. That's not the lowest price we've ever spotted, but it's still worth a look if you need a compact smart speaker.
It's also compatible with Alexa+, Amazon's AI assistant, which helps you do everything from meal planning to booking dinner reservations.

October Prime Day is nearly here, and Amazon’s TV deals have been coming in hot and fast. Prime Big Deal Days officially runs from Oct. 6 through Oct. 7, but some major discounts have landed early on TVs from Samsung, TCL, Roku, Amazon, and more.
Just like its flagship Prime Day sale, Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days features lots of amazing tech deals. This is an especially good time to shop for a new TV, as 2026 models have been on the market long enough to see hefty discounts. Before the sale has even officially begun, we've spotted best-ever pricing on some of our favorite 2026 OLED and QLED TVs. Amazon Ember TVs have particularly steep discounts, which is great news if you're on a budget this season.
We've highlighted the best early October Prime Day TV deals below from brands like TCL, Hisense, Amazon, and Samsung. We'll be updating this list as the sale officially kicks off, so keep checking back for more.
Best budget TV deal Opens in a new window Credit: Amazon Amazon Ember 55-inch 4-Series 4K TV $279.99 at AmazonAs much as we might drool over Sony's new flagship Bravia 7 II True RGB TV, when it comes time to actually add a TV to our shopping cart, we often have to lower our expectations. The good news: TVs are among the few tech products that have gotten cheaper over the past five years, and even budget TVs offer fairly impressive displays and sound.
The Amazon Ember 4-Series is a good starter TV if you're on a budget, and that's why it's one of the best October Prime Day TV deals we've found so far. Despite clocking in at under $300, this 55-inch TV has a 4K HDR10+ display, WiFi 6 support, a speedy quad-core processor, and doubles as an Alexa smart speaker. If you're already in the Amazon ecosystem and OLEDs aren't in your budget, don't overthink this one.
Best OLED TV deal Opens in a new window Credit: Samsung Samsung 65-inch S90H OLED 4K TV $1,497.99 at AmazonCombining immersive deep blacks and the contrast known to come from Glare Flare OLED technology, the Samsung S90H is another great Prime Day bargain if making the jump to an OLED TV has been on your radar — now only $1,497.99.
Its selling point is the NQ4 AI Gen3 Processor, which uses 128 neural networks to enhance picture and sound, while 4K AI Upscaling Pro sharpens lower-resolution content. Gamers also get unique benefits thanks to the Motion Xcelerator 165Hz, NVIDIA G-SYNC, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support for smoother, lower-latency play.
Best QLED TV deal Opens in a new window Credit: TCL TCL 65-inch QM8L SQD-Mini-LED QLED 4K TV $1,197.99 at AmazonMashable's TV expert named TCL's QM8L TV the best QLED TV for most people, highlighting its "superb peak brightness, detailed picture quality, and fantastic glare handling" in her review. The SQD part of its name stands for "super quantum dot" mini LEDs, which are a major reason why it's one of the brightest TVs you can buy in 2026. Period. At full price, the 65-inch model costs $2,500, but thanks to October Prime Day savings, it's down to just $1,197.99. That's over 50% in savings and its lowest price ever, confirmed with price tracker camelcamelcamel.
Best art TV deal Opens in a new window Credit: Amazon Amazon Ember 55-inch Artline QLED 4K TV $499.99 at AmazonIf you want an aesthetic TV that doubles as artwork on your wall, but don't quite have the budget for Samsung's The Frame, Amazon's new Ember Artline TVs are a solid alternative. While Amazon's art TV isn't quite as impressive in the specs department as Samsung's, it does offer a free art gallery and a wide selection of frame options at no extra cost. It's not our top pick at full price, but at $400 off? It's hard to pass up.

I've had a weird year as Mashable's resident laptop reporter. In recent months, many of the models I've covered and tested have gotten anywhere from $100 to $950 more expensive due to the ongoing memory crisis, making it harder to pinpoint truly great values on the market. That's why I've been particularly antsy for Prime Big Deal Days, Amazon's 48-hour "October Prime Day" sale: It's getting the ball rolling on holiday tech deals that negate a lot of those price hikes.
On Oct. 6, the first day of the sale, I've already spotted some particularly excellent MacBook deals on Amazon. That includes a long-awaited $200 discount on the M5 MacBook Air, which brings the 13-inch model down to $1,099 for the first time since June. Finally!
SEE ALSO: Everything you need to know about October Prime Day, according to someone who covers it every yearIf you'd prefer a Windows laptop, I'd advise you to shop not-on-Amazon: Most of its PC deals involve no-name brands and third-party sellers that you should avoid. I'm seeing much better and more legitimate ones at Best Buy, Walmart, and Costco, which just so happen to be running their own sitewide sales this week. So far, my personal favorite Windows laptop deal anywhere is Best Buy's 25% discount on the Dell XPS 13, my top MacBook Neo alternative.
Below, I'm keeping a running list of the best October Prime Day laptop deals I've found across the web. I'll continue to update it as Prime Big Deal Days progresses through Oct. 7, so check back often if you don't see any models with your must-have specs yet.
Best budget laptop deal (under $1,000) Opens in a new window Credit: Dell Dell XPS 13 (Intel Core 5 320, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD) $599.99 at Best BuyDell's new XPS 13 is a premium-built budget laptop that one-ups Apple's MacBook Neo with a much lighter design, a sharper, smoother touchscreen display, and a backlit keyboard. It also has a much better battery life than the Neo, lasting roughly 19 hours in our video rundown test (compared to the Neo's 15-ish hours).
Best Buy has two configurations of the XPS 13 on sale for $200 off during its Techtober savings event. The base model with 8GB of memory is now just $599.99, while an upgraded version with 16GB of RAM is only $799.99. (That more than negates their price increases from last month.) Both have an entry-level Intel Core 5 320 chip and 512GB of storage.
For comparison's sake, a comparable MacBook Neo with 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage is stuck at its regular sale price of $789.99 on Amazon — a meager $9 off.

The M5 MacBook Air is a fabulous all-rounder with incredibly fast performance, a premium haptic touchpad, a vibrant display, and a polished design. We like the 15-inch model best for most macOS users because it has nicer speakers, a better GPU, and a roomier display, but the 13-inch size is better if you prioritize portability. I recommend it for college students in particular.
The M5 MacBook Air is $200 off at Amazon and Best Buy right now, a discount that brings it back to its pre-price hike rates. (Apple's entire MacBook lineup got price increases in June due to increased component costs.) Choose from either size and any color or configuration starting at just $1,099.

The redesigned OmniBook Ultra 14 is one of the best and prettiest Windows laptops I've tried this year. (It's another great MacBook alternative, I might add.) It has a glorious 2.8K 120Hz OLED display, a haptic touchpad, a very quiet keyboard, and a thin, elegant design featuring an anti-smudge finish and metallic accents around the edges of its chassis.
Best Buy has three configurations of this guy on sale for the lowest prices I've seen all year. One is my review unit, which has a "stone blue" finish and a speedy Snapdragon X2 Elite chip. (It's just as fast or faster than the M5 MacBook Air and Pro, depending on the task.) It usually retails for $2,249.99, but it's yours for just $1,799.99 — a 20% savings.
If you'd rather avoid ARM-based Snapdragon chips, which aren't compatible with as many games and certain specialty software, I've also spotted two "silk sand" (beige) Intel models on sale for up to 30% off. The cheaper one with an Intel Core Ultra 7 356H chip, 16GB RAM, and 1TB storage now just $1,399.99 (normally $1,999.99). The upgraded model with an Intel Core Ultra X9 388H chip, 32GB RAM, and 1TB storage is only $1,899.99 (normally $2,399.99).

The Mashable team and I have tested dozens of laptops this year, and my job involves constantly monitoring their prices for any notable changes.
The MacBook deals I've endorsed here involve the lowest prices on select Air and Pro models in at least three months, according to historical data on the Amazon price-tracking site camelcamelcamel. The Windows laptop deals I've chosen feature models that are sitting at their lowest prices of the year so far, from what I've seen.
I've cross-checked all of my picks across various retailers to make sure they're the best deals anywhere. In one case, this alerted me to a deal that's even better than advertised. Walmart says its $1,100 Alienware Aurora 16 with an Intel Core Ultra 7 240H processor, RTX 5050 graphics, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage is $150 off, but it's really $801 off: Dell usually sells the same configuration for $1,900.
You can't go wrong with a portable power station, especially as we come into colder and more storm-prone months.
They're great for camping or road trips, keeping your gadgets running when you're away from a plug socket. Portable power stations come in all shapes, sizes, and price points, with some costing well into the thousands. It's not exactly an everyday purchase, so when sales events like Prime Day roll around, it's a great excuse.
Prime Day officially runs from October 6-7, but we've been keeping an eye on the early deals you can get now. There are discounts on seriously powerful models that can serve as a perfect backup power source for your refrigerator, as well as other models that will keep your personal devices charged and online.
SEE ALSO: 20+ of the best early October Prime Day deals: We found live deals on Apple, Nintendo, and GarminWith Prime Big Deal Days coming up on October 6-7, Amazon has already started cutting prices on some popular power stations, so now is a great time to pick one up at a lower-than-usual price. Below, we've rounded up the best early deals worth checking out.
A great beginner model from JackeryFor those new to portable power, Jackery makes some of the most beginner-friendly and uncomplicated models. The Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 is a compact, portable power station with a 1,070Wh capacity and 1,500W output, making it suitable for powering devices such as fridges, electric pots, and other appliances. It can also go from empty to fully charged in an hour with emergency charging switched on, and the LFP battery is designed to retain more than 70% of its capacity after 4,000 charge cycles. Plus, it weighs under 24 pounds, so it's easy to carry around the house or the campground.
If you don't love the traditional black and orange look of Jackery portable power stations, the Explorer 1000 v2 comes in a modern cream color called dune white. That version is also on sale for $499 ahead of Prime Day, marked down from its list price of $589.
Opens in a new window Credit: Jackery Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 $499 at AmazonOne of the major benefits of a portable power station is the ability to recharge using solar power. The EcoFlow Delta 3 Classic bundle with a 220W solar panel is a great choice ahead of Prime Day. You'll get the 1,024Wh portable power station with a 1,800W output that can power even big appliances like fridges. It has X-Boost providing up to 2,600W for higher-power devices, and can charge to 80% in 45 minutes via AC.
With full sun, EcoFlow says the Delta 3 Classic can recharge in about 6 hours with the 220W solar panel. Of course, you can also recharge using standard wall power or a generator. When plugged into a wall outlet, the EcoFlow can reach 80% capacity in just 45 minutes.
Opens in a new window Credit: Ecoflow Ecoflow Delta 3 Classic with 220W Solar Panel $699 at AmazonAhead of Prime Day, this Bluetti Elite 100 v2 unit has $400 off the list price. It comes with a 1,024Wh capacity and 1,800W output, with 11 ports so you can charge multiple devices at once. It can also fully recharge in about 70 minutes with TurboBoost AC charging, making it a great option for last-minute use.
But one of the highlights of the Bluetti Elite 100 V2 is its ability to connect with up to 1,000W of solar power. That's a massive amount of solar compatibility for a portable power station in the 1kWh range. If you have access to both 1,000W of solar and full sun, the Elite 100 V2 will recharge in just 70 minutes.
The 10-millisecond UPS (uninterruptible power supply) also makes this a great model for plugging into your workstation or the WiFi router at home when a storm threatens to take out grid power. A 10 UPS means the Bluetti will take over providing power within 10 milliseconds of losing wall power.
Opens in a new window Credit: Bluetti Bluetti Elite 100 V2 $499 at AmazonThis unit has a 1,056Wh capacity and 2,400W output, with 11 ports for powering multiple devices and appliances. It can reach 80% charge in 43 minutes with UltraFast charging enabled through the Anker app. It's built a LiFePO4 battery, so it's designed to last a long time, up to 10 years, which is around 3,000 battery cycles.
The original Anker Solix C1000 also has a few advantages over the new C1000 Gen 2. For starters, the older model has a built-in light bar, which is incredibly useful when camping or carrying the power station around the house during a power outage. The original C1000 is also expandable to add 1,056Wh of power, doubling its capacity.
Opens in a new window Credit: Anker Anker Solix C1000 $449.98 at AmazonIf you plan on heading out for fall camping, you might run into some rain or dewy mornings. The Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra isn't afraid of getting wet, so it's perfect for all-season camping. It carries an IP65 rating, which means it's both water- and dust-proof. Jackery also tested this model for drops, and it'll be just fine when it takes a tumble of about three feet or less.
Important stats include a 1,536Wh battery capacity, a metal cooling base, and protective covers for all ports. This is also a great model for using in a dusty workshop since the air intake is located toward the top of the unit rather than near the bottom, which tends to suck up dust or wood shavings.
Opens in a new window Credit: Jackery Jackery Explorer 1500 Ultra $1,079 at AmazonWhen the power goes out at home, a major worry is keeping food from going bad. Now that grocery prices have gone wild, the thought of having to toss it all out is worrying. Instead, plug the fridge into the Anker Solix S2000, which packs a massive 2,010Wh of battery capacity. Anker says this can keep a standard refrigerator on for up to 35 hours. Keep in mind that the exact number will depend on factors such as your fridge's capacity, the kitchen's ambient temperature, and how full the refrigerator is.
The Anker Solix S2000 has AC ports on both the front and the back of the station, so you can plug the fridge into the back and keep the front ports open for other kitchen appliances like the coffee maker.
During Prime Day in July, we saw this model drop to an incredible price of $599, which means it's possible it'll drop again next week when the sale officially kicks off on Oct. 6.
Opens in a new window Credit: Anker Solix Anker Solix S2000 $679.99 at AmazonWe all know DJI as the brand that launched drones into our everyday lives, as well as the company that makes excellent creator cameras and mics. But DJI also makes a stellar lineup of portable power stations. Often, they're on sale at such a competitive price that anyone should consider them a frontrunner for portable power, especially for those who have DJI drones.
The DJI Power 1000 v2 comes with a solid 1,024Wh battery capacity with a peak output of 2,600W. It has your standard AC ports, USB-C, and USB-A, but it also features dual SDC ports that can fast-charge DJI drone batteries. This feature makes it incredibly friendly for content creators. Additionally, it's super quiet, operating as low as 26 decibels, making recording video or audio near the power station no big deal.
Opens in a new window Credit: DJI DJI Power 1000 V2 $399.98These days, a huge number of Jackery portable power stations are on their second version, or v2. Most of them have improvements such as lighter weight, faster charging, and a USB-C port that can handle more power. But this doesn't mean you have to count out older models. The Jackery Explorer 300 still has plenty of great features for a 293Wh portable power station.
For starters, it weighs only about 7 pounds and has a 100W USB-C port. Jackery mentions that the battery can recharge a phone about 13 times. But one of the best parts about this deal is the inclusion of a 40W solar panel. The Jackery SolarSaga 40W air is a compact panel that measures about the size of a sheet of paper and weighs under two pounds.
On its own, the SolarSaga 40W Air solar panel costs $129 at full price, although it's on sale for $108.99. Given this pricing, snagging both the Jackery Explorer 300 and the 40W Air solar panel for $339 is a great option.
Opens in a new window Credit: Jackery Jackery Explorer 300 with Jackery SolarSaga 40W Air $339 at AmazonFor those who live in an area prone to hurricanes or ice storms, the Anker Solix F3000 could be a lifesaver. Its massive 3,072Wh capacity means you can keep almost everything in your home powered up, from the refrigerator to lamps and the coffee maker. Plus, it has the capacity for major expansion to 24kWh.
Thanks to the 30amp plug, you could even do a load of laundry with the Solix F3000 or take it along in the RV. Plus, the Anker can power gadgets while recharging, and, even better for storm situations, you can recharge it via a generator in a bit over an hour.
Of course, Anker added durable wheels and a telescoping handle to this model since the 3kWh battery weighs about 91 pounds.

For short trips to the campground for a few nights or for using at home during short outages, the Anker Solix C300 is packed with useful features. The 288Wh capacity will recharge small gadgets like cell phones and earbuds while camping, and the carrying strap makes it ideal for transporting at the campsite.
The Solix C300 comes with four USB-C ports, including two that support 140W, allowing you to recharge your MacBook Pro at the campsite. Plus, you can recharge the Solix power station in 2.5 hours via the car socket. The pop-up lantern adds to the campsite-friendliness of this model.
Opens in a new window Credit: Anker Solix Anker Solix C300 $199.99 at AmazonWe already mentioned the benefits of buying the Jackery Explorer 300 with a 40W solar panel, but if you don't mind buying used and you don't want the solar panel, this deal is pretty awesome. A renewed version of the Jackery Explorer 300 is on sale at Amazon for only $156. It's certified by Amazon's renewal program to retain at least 80% of its original battery capacity.
This isn't the fanciest or newest model, but if you're looking for a more affordable way to get into the portable power station game, this could be your ticket.

It can safely recharge your devices and tools at temperatures as low as -13 degrees. That makes it ideal for ice fishing, working in an uninsulated shed or garage in the winter, or leaving for the cabin.
Instead of using lithium-ion battery cells, the Bluetti Pioneer Na uses sodium-ion cells, which are not only better suited to cold weather but also avoid using rarer metals like lithium and cobalt.
