While Andor Season 2's first trailer promised rocking Star Wars revolution, the season's second trailer takes a tenser, more foreboding approach.
SEE ALSO: 'Andor' creator on Lucasfilm censoring f-bomb: 'They were right.'The biggest reason for that tension? The Death Star, which made a brief appearance in the end tag for Andor Season 1. Now, as the show draws ever closer to the events of Rogue One — which was all about obtaining the plans to the Death Star — that fearsome Imperial weapon becomes an even bigger threat.
"It's a weapon. They're building a weapon," one character says in the trailer, which then cuts to Rogue One's Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn) overseeing the nearly completed Death Star.
But Krennic and the rest of the Empire — including Syril Karn (Kyle Soller) and Dedra Meero (Denise Gough) — will face major opposition from the ever-growing Rebellion. Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) is now fully in the fight, along with allies Bix Kaleen (Adria Arjona), Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård), and Mon Mothma (Genevieve O'Reilly). How much will they sacrifice for revolution?

All Google Pixels can use the Fingerprint Unlock feature even when the screen is off, thanks to the imminent Android 16 update.
According to Android Authority, which spotted the update in Android 16 Beta 3, the off-screen Fingerprint Unlock method now works for Pixel 6 and newer — not just Pixel 9.
The ability to unlock Pixels by scanning your fingerprint on the screen debuted with the Pixel 6, but the display had to be on in order to activate the sensor underneath it. Google introduced Fingerprint Unlock while the display is off with Android 16 developer preview for the Pixel 9, the latest generation of its smartphone. But a new Android 16 beta update indicates this feature will be extended to all Pixels that have the Fingerprint Unlock sensor. That means presumably all versions of Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8 versions as well, including Pixel "a" series, since the outlet tested it with the budget-friendly Pixel 6a and reported that it works with the Pixel 7.
If you have the Android 16 Beta 3 installed, you can try it out for yourself. Go to Settings > Security & privacy > Device unlock > Face & Fingerprint Unlock > Fingerprint Unlock. Within the Fingerprint Unlock setting, toggle on Screen-off Fingerprint Unlock. With this enabled, you'll be able to unlock your Pixel with a fingerprint even when the display is off. It's handy feature that feels like a more natural gesture by eliminating one less step to unlocking on your phone.
If you don't have the beta version of the Android 16, you won't have to wait long for the official release. According to the Android Developers Blog, Google expects to ship Android 16 in the second quarter of 2025, which is anytime between April and June of this year.

The Wheel of Time Season 3, episode 4 introduced an incredibly powerful new object: the Sakarnen, a sa'angreal that serves as the female counterpart to the sword Callandor. (This is a change from Robert Jordan's original novels, where the Sakarnen can only be used by men.)
SEE ALSO: 'The Wheel of Time' cast on the most anticipated relationships of Season 3In episode 4, Aes Sedai Moiraine (Rosamund Pike) found the Sakarnen in the city of Rhuidean, within Avendesora, the Tree of Life. Now, in an exclusive clip from Season 3, episode 5, we get to see the Sakarnen in action.
In the above clip, Moiraine channels with the Sakarnen for the first time, sending large swaths of the One Power soaring across the Aiel Waste. It's one of the most extraordinary displays of power we've witnessed on The Wheel of Time so far, but it seems like it comes with a price. Moiraine appears to be wrestling with the Sakarnen at times, almost collapsing into the arms of her Warder, Lan (Daniel Henney), once she's finished.
"What is that, Moiraine?" he asks.
"What did it feel like to you?" she asks, referencing their bond.
"Euphoric," Lan replies. But when prompted further, there's cause for concern. To him, the use of the Sakarnen also felt "like hunger and thirst, but deeper."
Will he and Moiraine pay an even steeper price for this kind of power?
The Wheel of Time Season 3 is now streaming on Prime Video, with a new episode every Thursday.

Apple iPad, 10th generation Opens in a new window Credit: Apple Apple iPad, 10th generation (64GB, WiFi) $269 at AmazonA new iPad dropped earlier this month, so it's no surprise we're seeing the previous 10th generation model drop in price. It packs the A14 Bionic chip, a 10.9-inch Liquid Retina display, a landscape camera layout that makes video calls appear better, and upgraded stereo speakers for better sound quality. "It's perfect for someone who wants a portable screen for streaming, playing games, and reading. It's also a nice choice if you're interested in using your tablet as a laptop but don't want to spend a ton of money," Mashable Shopping Reporter Sam Mangino writes.

Apple's AirPods Max are getting a lot better soon.
In an announcement Friday, Apple said its over-ear headphones are getting support for both lossless audio and ultra-low latency audio via a software update in April.
This is a pleasant surprise at a time when a lot of owners probably gave up on ever getting lossless audio on the AirPods Max. Apple originally launched its over-ear headphones in 2020, following up with a mildly updated model in 2024. However, despite the company having offered lossless audio in Apple Music since 2021, the AirPods Max did not get support for the feature -- until now.
Lossless audio, in a nutshell, means better sound, though it does come at the expense of more bandwidth. This is likely the reason why the feature won't be available when using the AirPods Max wirelessly. The AirPods Max will support lossless audio up to 24-bit, 48 kHz quality.
As for ultra-low latency audio, it's a feature that musicians will be able to utilise to record and mix music while using the AirPods Max.
SEE ALSO: Apple Watch may get a camera, but not for the reason you thinkTo take advantage of lossless audio, AirPods Max owners will have to use the USB-C cable to connect to an iPhone, an iPad, or a Mac. The feature will be available as part of iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4, and macOS Sequoia 15.4 when the updates become available in April.
Apple Watch will get a camera in the future, new report claims, but if you're planning to take videos with it — James Bond-style — you may be disappointed.
In the latest edition of his newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman (via 9to5Mac) wrote that Apple is working on turning its Watch into an "AI device with a camera."

Think passing by a train station and getting the day's schedule, for example.
Both the regular Apple Watch and the Apple Watch Ultra are poised to get the camera, albeit in a different location. On the Apple Watch, the camera could be located under the device's display, and on the Ultra, it would be located on the side, next to the Watch's crown and side button.

We've heard similar rumors about the AirPods, which could also get AI-enabling cameras in the future.
None of this will happen very soon, though. Gurman says the Apple Watch will not get a camera until at least 2027, and same goes for the camera-enhanced AirPods.
